Record of teams they have played: 44-41 (11-20)
Record of teams they have beat: 37-39 (6-18)

Record of future opponents excluding A&M: 8-10 (4-9)

This is an incredibly weak SoS. Granted, ours is not much better. Either way, we are much more tested.

They don't deserve a #3 ranking.

Bowling green has a good chance of being conference champion, only conference loss QB went down 2nd half

Our first conference road game was Florida when they had their starting RB and QB (plus Marcel's first start)
Their first conference road game was Vandy over a month later on Oct 26

Michigan, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and UL Monroe all have offenses that are in the bottom 20

I just don't see our offense being able to put up enough points. Especially if we tackle anywhere as bad as we did against SC.

Nonsense. Our secondary will have no answer for their passing game. Our offense won't be a factor. We're gonna get embarrassed at home.

Their passing isn't that impressive. It is a lot of smoke and mirrors and getting their receivers the ball in space. They struggled against UGA and even thoigh they pit up some yards against Vanderbilt they weren't extremely impressive.

It was more of an indictment on our secondary.

Our offense is statistically similar to Georgia. Both rank around 50th whereas Arkansas is top 25

Arkansas won't be able to stop Texas like Georgia did but I think they will score more than 17 (what we held them to)

I like our chances to score somewhere around 27 points on Texas which I think is also about what we can hold them to. 12th man wins it for us 30-27 !

Yes, it's just me. We got our **** pushed in to the tune of 44 points by one of the worst offenses in college football.

But you're probably right, "wrecking crew" or whatever…smh

USC's offense is not even close to the worst we face and it wasn't their passing game that did us in.

It was a bad tackling night and not indicative of the way we have played defense all year

Yes, in four of their games this year, they've scored 3, 6, 7 and 9. Total. Juggernaut.

ETA: nothing personal. I really enjoy your posts. We just have a fundamentally different opinion on how good A&M really is.

Yes but what have they done lately and being ranked #42 in OFEI and #53 in Scoring O is far from "one of the worst offense in all of football."

And again since the Ole Miss game they are averaging 33 points a game against OU, Bama, Vandy, and us. All 4 of those schools are very good to great on defense.

But ignore the relevant facts and focus on your agenda.

Why would you be worried more about Auburn? They absolutely suck. They are 1-5 in conference and 3-6 overall. If we struggle with Auburn, that would suggest we have significantly regressed.

Saying you are more worried about Auburn pretty much kills any credibility you would have. They are bad.

You should really watch more college football. SC will end up 9-3 and very close to top 15. They would play well against anyone in country right now and beat 99% of them. Yes, I tried to tell folks that before we played them.

Yeah they are legit bad and would be getting a lot more attention if it wasn't for Mississippi State.

They may end up 9-3 but 8-4 is my guess at this point. Really should have beaten LSU though.

TU schedule is really weak. There is a decent chance they only play 2 P4 teams all year with an above .500 record. The problem is who is to say they wouldn't be rolling through good teams as well? We just don't know. My wild guess is we get to Ewers early but can't put them away ( think back to LSU). Then they bring in ARCH and we struggle with his ability to get on edge.

Some of you, simply don't know football. Texas is not nearly as good as you think. Ewers is great when he has time and open receivers. We lock down the defense, Texas isn't scoring a ton of points. Their OL is big but big arse statues too.

This is a very good matchup for A&M if you ask me. And Kyle is the difference!

First we gotta see how they come out against Auburn. If they blow their socks off, very good sign that Elko has righted the ship and made the corrections necessary.

All of us here are always wrong. Myself included.

Under no circumstances did I think we'd get blown out by any team this year. At all. What SC did to us was embarrassing and really surprising to me.

But we've been on the other side of that too. We've embarrassed teams who had no business losing to us.

None of us have a clue what's going to happen on Nov. 30th, but given the number of goofballs here, someone's guess will end up being right. And then we'll all be made aware of it by that lucky prognosticator.

Bottom line…

We don't even know who our starting QB will be for that game.

We do know this:

1) The tickets are expensive
2) The atmosphere will be unlike anything humanity has ever seen

To answer my own question:

Record of teams we have played: 48-35 (20-23)
Record of teams we have beat: 34-31 (17-21)

Record of future opponents excluding Tex: 5-13 (2-10)

Quote:

Granted, ours is not much better

In terms of record of teams we actually beat, ours is worse…

It plays heavily into our favor that this will be tu's first experience playing at an SEC environment at night. You saw how much South Carolina rattled us, same with Ole Miss in 2021.

I'd say it because the only good team they've all year beat the hell out of them at home in what was supposed to be the biggest game of the year. They have also struggled at times and barley beat Vandy.
