Saying Texas got lucky is a bit of a misnomer, more likely paid their luck, with a bit of actual luck on the side. Corruption and money goes hand in hand with the donghorns. Funny how some forget how they orchestrated SMUs death penalty, probably got Jackie Sherill in trouble too. Then there's what went down with our former baseball coach. Like democrats, they will lie and cheat their way and make sure nobody else gets in the way.

The prevarication is the worst. You can't take anything at face value.

If it was at night there was a fighters chance..11am I think Texas rolls. I was at the Arkansas and Ole Miss game at Arkansas and that was one quiet 11am game
The night crowd helped Arkansas to upset Tennessee 19-14 on 10/5, but it didn't help them in an embarrassing 34-10 loss to LSU on 10/19 after a bye week. Arkansas was well rested, and LSU was coming off a very tough 29-26 overtime home win over Ole Miss on 10/12 and never led Ole Miss until the final play. Yet, LSU dominated Arkansas for most of the game.

The last time tu visited Arky they got gang raped. Arky hates these vermin almost as much as we do. They can be very physical at home and if they can avoid turnovers then look out.

I thought we were talking about the Texas football players, coaches, and administrative fixers and their false statements like the democrats.

I'm definitely not accusing you of lying and really didn't have the media in mind either. For sure Texas.

I never want Texas to win. And I would never root for them. But wouldn't it help our strength of schedule and playoff ranking if we beat a one lost highly ranked Texas? The higher we are ranked the more of a mulligan we would get if we happen to lose in the SEC championship game.

Is green going to be playing qb for ark in this one or is he hurt?

Would be more tu luck to face yet another backup qb

No it's not. Arkie already beat top 10 Tennessee.

I'm thinking of driving up for this game. Fayetteville is a great CFB environment especially when the clouds roll in. I want Texas to lose so badly it is worth the slim chance to see it in person, especially with tickets at $60

Statistically speaking every time a teams wins the chances of them losing the next game increases.
Winning streaks are not the purely positive momentum the coaches and sports media claim.

TX with one loss, from an odds standpoint works in the Aggies favor.

In fact the GA loss is a testimony to what can happen to a team that has played weak competition and suddenly has to face a challenging defense.

I don't think it's a pipe dream at all. It depends on which team shows up . . . on both sides of the ball. The issue, though, is I think tu's defense is legit good. So, I think Arky will struggle to score no matter what else happens.

tu's defense is statistically very good but the only offense worth a damn that they have faced is Georgia and even Georgia is having a down year offensively compared to previous seasons

So their defense is overrated by a mile. Still good, but Vandy is the next best offense outside of Georgia and Vandy's offense is not great

UTSA and Colorado State are technically the best offenses they have faced, but when it comes to P4 most are below average

Oklahoma is bottom 20 and both ULM and Michigan are bottom 10

Okie and Mich were supposed to be their biggest wins and they are some of the worst offenses in the nation LOL

Okay . . . I guess. None of the teams that they have played have done much against their defense. And, as much as I hate to say it, they have talent at every position. But, I guess the focus was Arkansas. If their defense is not actually good, as you seem to think, I doubt Arkansas is going to expose them.

No. They are used to the Big12 and think they're playing tougher teams.

You are probably right, mostly because it's looking like Arky will have their backup QB playing but should also be noted that just like Texas is statistically good on defense, Arkansas is the best offense the whorns have faced all year by a significant margin

Taylen Green has been practicing FWIW. But Singleton did some nice things against Ole Miss too.

Arkansas' offense is pretty good but the problem has been turning the ball over constantly. They move it well otherwise.

This game comes down to if Green can not only play but can he be himself and play at levels he's capable of.

If that Green shows up then Arkansas can play it close and possibly pull off an upset.

If he doesn't, then Texas easily rolls by 2 scores or more.

I'll be the first to admit that the schedule turned out to be easier for Texas than anybody thought, with both Michigan and OU sucking as bad as they do, but other than that, I haven't seen much luck. They played two and a half games with a backup QB, and lost their top two RBs before the season started. I think they're about where they should be in terms of W's and L's. But there aren't any easy outs the rest of the way so they better buckle their chin straps and get to work, or they're gonna finish 8-4.

Arkansas with Green would have been a good game. I don't see it being a good game without him. Arky's oline can't hold up, Greens dual threat was a big deal for them.

Are you for real?
Easier than thought? For who?
Everyone knew Michigan was not good. This bad? Maybe not quite this bad.
Everyone knew OU wouldn't be good. Most had them tabbed at 7-5. So maybe not quite this bad.
Vandy is their best win and hopefully will be. Vandy has a really good chance of going 6-6
Injuries?
Qb was out for freaking ULM, miss st. Unlucky is missing those guys for OU or Mich, etc. teams that are top 20 in talent
Who didn't lose their top RB preseason or a significant player

Luck is playing Arkansas without their QB at Arkansas.
Luck is playing Florida that was starting to turn heads with their play just one week earlier and then lost their catalyst. By the way they were down to 3rd QB.

In large part due to their very weak and friendly schedule, they haven't lost any really big time players. I look for that to change the next couple weeks as they play 2 of next 3 in road and against hard nosed teams

Green is probable on the injury report. Problem is Arkansas' best CB Jaylon Braxton was thought to be back this week but is still out, he's been hurt since week two and the Hogs pass defense has been awful without him especially against Ole Miss.

He practiced all last week during the Hog's bye week although I suppose Arkansas could be preparing to catch Texas unaware by starting QB2.

Quote:

The Arkansas Razorbacks have two trustworthy options at quarterback for Saturday's matchup against the Texas Longhorns.

When speaking to the media Monday, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman said that starting quarterback Taylen Green practiced in full during the bye week after suffering a knee sprain in the loss to the Ole Miss Rebels on Nov. 2.

"Taylen practiced every day last week and I believe he'll be fine," Pittman said.

However, Pittman clarified that the team is very confident in the ability of backup Malachi Singleton if Green were to be limited for any reason. In relief of Green against Ole Miss, Singleton went 11 of 14 passing for 207 yards and one touchdown while adding eight carries for 44 yards and a score on the ground.
"Absolutely," Pittman said when asked if the team feels confident in Singleton if Green isn't 100 percent. "He did a great job of throwing the football, throwing it early. Very accurate. Ran over some people." . , ,

Singleton was better passing and running by far (Green 10/16 yards vs Singleton 8/44 yards) but the game was out of reach, and since Green is healthy you'd think it's his gig

Ok, you win. Texas bought this season because they own college football. They are so powerful politically that they can buy their way to a national championship. That's why they've been so successful the last 15 years. Oh…wait. They haven't. Never mind.
