At least they got ol' piss ahead of uga. Reversed in coaches poll. Ridiculous after the shellacking the rebs put on the dawgs.

BYU almost loses, really should count as having lost, to an unranked Utah team and doesn't drop in the polls at all. That is both dumb and inexcusible. The playoffs rankings are supposed to be better than this juvenile farce, but somehow I am not confident in what we see on Tuesday.

We would be favored to easily beat at least 5 of the teams ranked ahead of us.

Really? 5? On a neutral field? What 5? SMU definitely. Probably Boise State. Maybe BYU. I don't think we are viewed as good as you think we are. At home, maybe favored against 5, but definitely not to the point that it is expected we "easily beat" them.

B10 with 4 of 5 is a joke… so Penn St and IU would beat UGa, Bama, Ole Miss, Tenn…. No chance those 2 would be within 10 of those teams

After 10 weeks, you would think we would have a decent idea of how good everybody is. But we really don't. Y'all actually have me convinced that the Texas schedule is so soft that they probably don't belong in the top 10.

Like I said yesterday, the OL is terrible, their run defense is suspect, and their best win at Vandy just isn't that impressive. Arkansas can definitely beat Texas, UK is the definition of a trap game, and Kyle Field is gonna be an atomic bomb on T+2.

Texas better put their big boy pants on the next three weeks or 8-4 is a distinct possibility.

Pick'em
Indiana
Miami
SMU

Slight favorite
BYU

Favorite
Boise State

So it's possible to be favored over 5 teams ranked ahead of us and really it's possuble it could be more considering the analysis are not perfect.

At home we'd be favored over 6 or 7 at least.

Who is BYU's best win? Hell, how many games have they played against teams currently in the top 25?

Who has Penn state even played outside of Ohio State?

Who has Miami played?

SMU?

Indiana has played one team with less than 5 losses. And that team has 4 losses.

Boise State has played one team that's relevant in the top 50 and lost.

Texas has played 1 team in the top 25 and were spanked. Best win is 4 loss Vandy.

Yes, we would probably beat half the teams ahead of us. The overwhelming majority have only had to play 1 game against halfway decent competition. The ones that have an argument to be ahead of us are Oregon Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Notre Dame (though I think we beat them with Reed), and Tennessee. Ohio State gets some benefit for at least having played two quality opponents, though Penn State likely has 3-4 losses with our schedule.

Indiana nearly folded against the first team they played all year with decent talent, and that team is one of the worst offensive teams in the country. Indiana would have 3-4 losses in the SEC.

Miami would have 3-4 losses if they even had to play 2 of the top 4 ACC teams.

BYU would be smoked by us. They would be annihilated in the trenches by even our backups.

Boise State would be interesting, as they held up well against Oregon. But Oregon at the beginning season is a far different team than the one today. Boise State wouldn't last 4 quarters today against a team with talent in the trenches.

SMU similar to Boise State.

I would favor us by 7-10 points over ever single one of those teams.

I think we'd win all the games I listed. I'm just saying where vegas would most likely have us on a nuetral field. But like I said I think we could easily be favored in all 5 with a chance for a couple more and we'd easily be favored at home in 6/7 games.

I seriously doubt we would be favored on a neutral site against Miami or Indiana. And he said we would be favored to "easily beat" 5 teams ahead of us. That simply isn't the case.

so A&M has played 4 of its 9 games vs. teams ranked in the AP poll in mid-November

maybe the schedule wasn't quite so soft

While I know these rankings don't matter, I'm a little concerned with how many other 2 loss SEC teams are ranked in front of us. And I don't see us passing Bama or Ole Miss because they're probably not gonna lose again.

To paraphrase others here, it's the breaks of the game. Never let the athletic miscues of 18-21 year old kids determine your frame of mind even temporarily. Been following the Ags since 1975 and the Utes since 1987 and the lesson has stuck with me.

BYU beat SMU who is ranked ahead of us.... who have we beat? Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. This is how we lost to SC

Both our losses are ranked. Our two best wins are ranked.

We just need to win out while the rest eat each other.

Klein better be figuring things out for both Reed and CW under center. CW better get his head back to unafraid warrior. The D needs to practice controlled body tackling.
