Do we get in if we beat Auburn regardless of sip results?

No. There are still 3 other teams with only 1 loss. We have to win out to guarantee a spot

Why was this even a question

Unless things get VERY weird, 6-2 isn't a possibility for us to make the CCG. For all intents and purposes, 7-1 is our only path.

We guaranteed that when we pissed down our leg last week.

If both LSU and us win out, we will play LSU in a rematch in the SEC Championship Game. It would be sweet to beat Texas and LSU twice in the same season to become an 11-2 SEC champion.

Where is the SEC simulator? It's possible. Bama beats LSU and then Georgia beats Tennessee. That would create a 6 team pileup for second place if A&M beats Auburn and loses to Texas. A&M would have tie breaker over LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee but not sure about Georgia or Bama.

I'd suggest tempering the expectations… Unless our team has an answer for Moss' injury, beating both Auburn and Texas isn't likely. I'd place it at 30% probability

There are 8 teams currently with 1 or 2 conference losses. The 4 with 1 loss could drop to 2 teams tonight if Tenn and LSU lose. Clearly it is in our best interest to beat Auburn
And tu then whoever we play in Atlanta (whoever wins the 6-2 tiebreaker), which gives us a top 4 seed, bye to new years and a spot in the last 8 standing plus the Sec title. Falling into the mess at 6-2 could still get us in the dec 7 game but who knows. Probably means we miss the 12 team tournament.

No

This is what we lost last week

Had we won last week, we would have been in great shape (especially if UGA beats tenn) to get in regardless of the tu game.

Now it is a required win to get through.

We just need to win our last 3. We control our destiny.

We do. TECHNICALLY we can lose to New Mexico State and control our destiny. Finish 7-1 in conference and win the SECCG for the auto bid lol

Yes, we can make the SEC Championship game with two losses.

Two conference losses? It's possible but it involves tiebreaker craziness to fall our way.

My favorite scenario:

Bama beats LSU, we win out and Tennessee beats UGA.

Ags vs Vols in title game. We beat Vols giving the SEC Bama, Vols, Ole Miss, tu and LSU five remaining teams with 2 losses to be considered for the playoffs.

If we lose to Tennessee in title game they'll **** us with 3 losses even though we made the title game and beat Texas and LSU.

Chaos and anarchy

If:
1. LSU beats Bama, AND
2. Arky or Kentucky beats texas, AND
3. Georgia beats Tennessee

Then the SEC Championship would be us vs LSU even if we lose to Texas. #2 seems unlikely so let's just beat the crap out of texas ourselves

**** it, don't play one starter Saturday and rest up for Auburn, tu and title game, win or lose against New Mexico State.

Half kidding

I hate to say it, but the two teams that I hate the most will probably get into the SEC Title game: tu vs Old Piss.

If LSU wins tonight. We will then need LSU to lose (to somebody like Florida which is highly unlikely based on today's performance).

Uh. No. In your scenario Texas would be a 2 SEC loss team and would own the h2h tiebreaker over us.

Now if they lose 3, then yes.

If we lose to tu (a strong likelihood at this point) the most likely teams to make the SECCG are tu and Bama or LSU not Ole Miss... I think.

Wrong. H2H goes out the window in this specific scenario with five 2-loss teams. We win the tiebreaker over all of them because of conference opponent win percentage.

Ol Miss needs a lot of help to get to #2 if tu wins out. Almost impossible.

If we lose to tu, LSU wins tonight, and the bulk of other games go according to chalk, it will be tu vs LSU.

If Alabama wins tonight, it will be tu and a 6-2 team, likely either Alabama or LSU. It will likely come down to random games, like Missouri v Arkansas. Which kinda sucks tbh. Ole Miss has a bad conference opponent winning %, so it won't be them.

RB is the least of our concern. We have solid players at RB.
