He can't be worse than what we saw in the 2nd half last night. Well, he can be but you never know. He can be much better on any given day too.

He's not going through his progressions and seeing the field. His timing is way off and he's not anticipating open receivers.
Basically got the same problem Reed has had then vs Carolina, Arkansas, and Bowling Green - every game he's had to pass.

Just not developing and improving.
This is true. But we've done him no favors. It's been a revolving door of OC'c and offensive philosophies since he got here. I truly feel for the kid. There is an alternate universe where he is developed properly and actually has a productive career.
How does that Oregon QB switch schools so much and be successful if the issue is about "new coordinators"? Lol

Lol. Reed was a big problem for us last night. He missed open throws and didn't see other guys open. His QBR was 59.2

Incorrect

He played pretty well under the constant pressure he was under. Avoided sacks on several occasion. Our tackles did pretty well. But the inside guys had problems on pass protection.

Losing Moss our best player on offense also hurt.

Reed did the PC after a tough loss. He's doing the right things and will continue to improve.

Well he had a towel on his head the whole game which is just so, I don't know. Disconcerting.
How were you able to watch him the entire game?

Maybe Ian was at the game like me. I was right behind the Aggie bench and noticed the same thing. He really didn't seem to be interacting with teammates/coaches for a lot of the game. Sitting by himself on a folding chair at the end.

Hopefully he does not transfer to a SEC team that we will have to face in the next few years. I believe that when he gets physically and mentally right, he will be a force. I wish it was for us, but I would anticipate the freshman getting some pt versus nm state and expect an intense qb battle going into next season between Reed, 3rd string and the incoming qb from California.

Reed is #15 in the country in QBR. You don't know what you're talking about

He definitely could be worse and has been in the past. Remember ND where is QB rating would have been higher if he just spiked the ball every play instead of attempting a pass?

Anyone have Molly Griswold's number? Conner hasn't had his Moxie since his foot was broke.

Compete. Keep your head up. Grind. Work hard. With integrity. Be a team player. Fight for the starting job. Don't quit.

Great questions! Conner Weigman's injury was a pretty tough one. He suffered a broken foot earlier this season. The staff has been really careful with his recovery to avoid long-term issues, which makes sense given his potential. As for the rest, I'd say it's less about being 'shell-shocked' and more about making sure he's 100% ready both physically and mentally before getting back on the field. Reed's done a solid job stepping in, but I agree that having Conner back would be a huge boost for the team, especially as we're heading into critical games. Let's hope he's cleared soon.

I think the problem is the offense and not the qb's, although it could be the opposite, i dont know, im an idiot.

I misspoke-it was the AC joint injury he suffered in his throwing shoulder in the season-opening loss to Notre Dame.

You can have a great arm and never develop into a quality QB with pocket awareness and instinct.

You can have 50 OC's and it doesn't matter. These things can go unnoticeable on the HS level until the speed of the game catches up.

It happens.

Weigman's going to lead A&M to a big time come back in the 2nd half of the Texas game, like Reed did in the LSU game. Weigman & Reed split time in a dominate win over Tenn in the SECCG. And make a good run in the CFP. I can't see how far they go in the CFP, ran out of the Mary Jane. Working on it! Where is the "horndown" emoji?

He's just not that good and was exposed. Sad but true. I knew he was overrated and was disappointed that he was the starter. I knew we were doomed when they chose him.

In that case, A&M (Year 1 Elko Era) will finish 6-2, 9-3. Which is awesome!
I'm more concerned about our recruiting battles, some between horns and us.
Would a Top WR rather catch balls from Manning or Reed, in a Klein Offense?
We'll have a house full of top recruits on Nov 30th...

I think his problem is lack of confidence. That's it. Put him in a position to have some success and he may get it back.

Last year under Fisher he was excellent until injury. One of the best in the nation. And biggest strength was making throws and plays under pressure. His performance in the Miami game with no protection and taking no sacks was tremendous.

So to say he's not good at playing QB is just asinine. It seems much more likely he's either A) greatly struggling with Kleins system or B) That injury ruined him and is gunshy and panicked under pressure.

This is exactly right.

Highest PFF graded QB last year, very high on draft boards. Conner is a good QB.

You could point to injury or system, and I think it's a little of that, but I think it's mostly mental. It's like a form of imposter syndrome

I think Conner tried to take a step up as a leader and bought into his own hype, presenting himself as the cool guy. Instead of being an unproven doe-eyed freshman, he's now an experienced future NFL talent getting more and more NIL deals. Ball out against Mizzou? Here's a boot advertisement lmaoooo

It's seems despite how cool he is or how much $$$ is coming his way, he truly lacks the confidence to lead the team. And now that Marcel is hot on his heels and taking things over, Conner must truly doubt his abilities- the same abilities that got him so highly rated the year prior.

He's having an identity crisis

If we're all being honest, that mentalist magician or whatever the **** satanism that was, that seemed to have been an inside job from Austin. That totally screwed up Conner's perception for anyone who saw that clip. Dude was inconsolable. We need to consider a reverse mentalist for the game against the whorns to right the ship and help Conner.
