Class of 96...Ags been edging us every year

Until we're putting 10+ players into the NFL draft every year, like the perennial contenders do, we're still gonna be considered an underdog that's still looking up at the rest.

Recruiting, retention, player development, and great coaching….we always just seem to be missing something

We're not cursed, we just have an overly inflated view of ourselves. We think we're such an elite program, but we're basically the same level as an Ole Miss, Mizzou, or Auburn. We are a contender, we could break through! But so could Virginia Tech or Michigan State etc. When it doesn't happen for them we don't sit here and think they are cursed, we just think CFB is hard and only one team gets to be champs every year.

All of us would love, love, love to see us develop a dynasty level program in our lifetime. But you can't let it ruin your life if that doesn't happen.

Agreed they are not paid to learn in the job. They are supposedly paid for their expertise and to win games like this where you are the favorite. It's not that they just lost but how they lost. This team was bullied all night and could not muster a single point in the second half.

Agree...A great team with holes but also the injury curse.

First year coach , no proven QB the playoffs Was always unlikely but
Preseason looking at the schedule optimistically 9-3 or 10-2 ( with a chance of making the playoff ) was a reasonable best case scenario. That still is the case we have to win 3 in a row and hopefully get Georgia on a day they Beck is throwing multiple ints to make the playoffs

Lastly got to stay healthy Bisontis being out was a major factor definitely can't afford more OL injuries

Imagine not being a fan of college football…..

Like yeah we lost last night but I am glad to say I went to a Williams-Brice homecoming night game against a top 10 team. It is the best sports entertainment SC has to offer.

Maybe I will let my fandom die out after I've been to more stadiums and campuses, but if you're not a fan of this sport you're a boring loser. Glad I have at least 15 years until I'm like you

I've personally thought we (team) has out performed this year. Coaches have found way's to win, even though ugly. Last November, when the past coach was fired, I was thinking we'd be lucky to put a descent transfer (bad news bears) team together so quickly. Here we are the following November 7-2..

Culture is not something you order and pick up in a drive-thru window!

It's my fault guys. I wore the wrong Aggie T-Shirt last night, or maybe I didn't put it on early enough in the day. I'll have it figured out by New Mexico, just watch.

This is a terrible burden I carry every season. The pressure to choose the correct game attire to cause a win has worn me down over the years.

Class of 99 as well. I used to get much more emotional about these games. Now I just enjoy that I get to watch it. I love Texas A&M, I love Aggie football. Just use it as a time to gather around a common interest with those you love and celebrate or commiserate together. God willing we will win a Natty sometime. Gig'Em Ags!

While I hated watching that game and we lost our best player to likely season ending injury, we are still tied for First Place in the SEC and will very likely be in the 12 team tournament after we win the last 3.

We will be in the SEC championship game if we beat Auburn and tu. The only way we might not be is a 3 way tie with whoever wins the Ga- Tenn game and LSU if they win the last 4. I don't know the tiebreaker in that 3 way tie but the only head to head matchup in either scenario was our win over LSU. Ga and Tenn don't play us or LSU.

I am convinced LSU won't win all 4 SEC games they have left, so a 2 way tie means we play for the Title.

In general, programs that win consistently understand how to identify, develop and utilize a top three-ish CFB QB.

It's happened maybe twice at A&M.

Curse?! There are no such things as curses. Texas A&M gets great players, but so do other schools.

Well, without Moss, Klein is going to need to figure out how to utilize our TEs and get better use out of Bussey.

That seems like a stretch considering the play calling against teams with a pulse

The reality (which got glossed over by some wins over mediocre teams..as even LSU should have lost to USCe) is that this is a patchwork of transfer portal players (especially on defense) who were signed at the last minute due to massive portal losses after Jimbo Fishers firing.
This is not a team that has tons of depth or talent outside of the D-line. And even the D-line has its issues that got exploited last night.
Elko is trying to put forth the best team he can with what he has to work with right now.
But don't expect them to beat the Longhorns or any other above average team the rest of the year.
This is a project that will take 3-4 years of recruiting, development, getting lucky in the portal and paying massive NIL money to try to keep a roster intact if you do sign some good players.
This was not a 20 million dollar NIL team put together for this season ala Ohio State...who openly brags about it.
Unfortunately..this is the reality. Sucks..but the injuries are a perfect example of a team bereft of quality depth.

This is our reality and thank you for posting it.

Our margins for winning have and will be thin for the next 2-3 years. It will take time to build the foundation and depth. Last night we saw the margin consumed by the Moss injury, poor coaching decisions and poor tackling.

We simply don't have the talent to have an "off night" and win against good teams.
