DJ Hicks had some "wow" plays where he just flat out bullied their guard. Dude played a great game. The interior DL is so good on this team but are rarely given the spotlight due to the nature of their job. But wow I was impressed a lot.
Moss is a bad bad bad man. Even in the first half, those runs were mean.
Some really suspect flags. Like the off-the-ball facemask that I felt was ticky tack to call. But that's how it goes.
Finally, anyone saying that LSU gave this game away did not pay attention. This team didn't catch any breaks in the first half but continued to battle and force LSU into uncomfortable positions. Say what you want about the missed FGs, but that's what happens when you make a guy kick at his career long.
As for the INTs, LSU fans wanna talk about how Nuss pooped the bed making those throws but pat him on the back when he makes the same risky throw on 3rd and 15 and converts. Nuss turns the ball over due to his attitude towards making a play, but that's also why he makes the plays he does. Credit Elko and Bateman for adjusting to what LSU was doing and dominating this game.
LSU scored 23 points. 7 from a short field after a fluke fumble. 7 from a single explosive play from Aaron Anderson.
So only 9 points where they had hard fought offensive drives with the last six points being already down by multiple scores. Not exactly an incredible dominating performance people would have you believe.
LSU got beat. They were not on the same level as us and it showed. We could adjust. They were incapable of doing so.
That is all.
