It is for this reason, and the fact that he was ADAMANT in his pressers that CW was "put in a bad position by everyone, including the coaches" that I believe CW will be QB1 Saturday. I hope I'm wrong though...The Banned said:
(Have to do it cuz I can't help myself): Elko told the WRs to get open? So many on this board are convince CW is solely to blame and it's not on the WRs…
Positive response is that this is badass. So glad we got him as our coach.

shouldn't we hire someone to sit up high and try to coordinate the offense? sorta be the eyes for the coach so adjustments can be made? I know it's complicated, but if we work really hard it might be possible!MrWonderful said:The Banned said:

Weigmans read issues are obvious on film. It's not like elko would have watched tape at that point. Also, at halftime, what is the right move for a coach? To tell his players the qb had a **** half, or to push the wideouts to give max effort?

Because we never actually executed and he never adjusted anything. He just did the same thing over and over and over

I wish so many could've seen Coach Sherrill's '86 bu pregame speech. Great speech. And we go out & get down 17-0.

….. and his post-game - my goodness.
If don't win on Saturday it won't be because of a lack of Elko's motivation and dedication.

Run it back a bit.
Slocum - no real expectations, it was just kind his turn
Sherrill - Through the roof, perhaps only Fran exceeded it
Wilson - low to none, given Emory's resignation
Emory Bellard - Guarded, but big expectations. Inventor of the Wishbone, first Aggie coach to aggressive recruit AA athletes. Best chance to date of winning the NC - 1975.

During the part where he said 'we cannot have penalties!!!!!' Shemar Turner and Walker must have been in the bathroom.

People forget the undefeated 1994 team
That's exactly how I remember it.Quote:
We had more "hope" than "expectation" for Slocum.
