I think as long as we don't have a complete abortion for an offense, we easily cover the spread.

If it is an abortion, we lose.

We either play right and win 'easily' or we lose. There will be no squeaking out a narrow victory.
Curious why you would say this? We have had some trouble in every game this season (except Mizzou). It seems to me, the difference this year is the mindset and culture instilled by Elko to correct mistakes and win. We are very willing and able to overcome our issues to get the W and well tested in tight games to fight.

I am much more confident in this team to pull out a tight game vs previous years. Previous years we would pull out the close victory against Arkansas and that was it. Our players knew we would beat Arkansas and I was always confident in that game, every other game I had no confidence and neither did our players. Now, every game feels like Arkansas.

If Conner gets the start I'm worried about turnovers creating short fields for SC allowing them to keep this closer than it should be.

What film are you watching? Previous broadcasts or do you have access to something else?

Our Offense has struggled at times. And to say SC will be the best defense we have faced is questionable. LSU was humming with backups and had us damn near shut down with what had been a pretty porous secondary. I thought we would throw all over them. They had improved every game. Our receivers have not. We need to get better route running and separation or SC will be intercepting a lot this game. I don't think CW has been bad as much as I think he is not getting a lot of help from his receivers. Line is giving QB time, and I foresee some stop and go that catches these INT ready db's off guard. But the receivers have to play well. It is hard to count on the run game completely, but against SC I would lean on it until the secondary starts coming down in run support and then hit em. I hope TE are used for some catches to keep LB's honest, we have not gone to them enough but they have been rock star blockers. We have given defenses a lot to practice for before Reed's LSU game. This will take some practice time for them and I see it going our way. Good guys- 34 SC- 17

OP, do you think we can move the ball consistently with Marcel and the running game? He's a known commodity now so SC will certainly game plan for stopping the zone read and force him to throw.

Game planning to stop the zone read doesn't mean they'll be successful doing it.

I've been through the film, watch the games, and can confidently say the following should happen:

1/ Their offense is truly offensive against our front 7... They will be lucky to score 14-17 points.
2/ They cannot run or throw the ball very effectively against us, unless they get some busted plays.
3/ Our offensive speed could shock them, if we can get some mis-direction going effectively.
4/ We spy their QB, we win easily.
5/ Their special teams/punter is actually better than ours.. so we have to play sound football.
6/ Moss, Bussey, Thomas, and TE's could be very effective in this game.
7/ Our OL is maturing fast, but will be tested on every 2nd/3rd down... we have some chances for big plays on 1st downs.
8/ Their big bodies are not fast... if we can move them one way, run plays another, we move the ball well.
9/ LSU run defense showed how successful USC can be, but our run D is significantly better.
10/ We could see both QB's play in this game... to test both styles of their defense. The pass with Connor and the run with Marcel - don't be surprised if we play both.

Sellers is the key... don't let him out of the pocket and we got this!

Aggies 34, USC 14 (Adjusted up from my previous 24-21 view from SpreadsheetAg's initial lines)

(After watching the film, I'm more confident we can score. They will have numerous 3 or 6 down drives, giving us more opportunities in this game)

Ags defense shuts them down, our offense does enough to win comfortably

I agree with OP

I think we should start Conner and bring in Marcel later for the biggest upside
I don't trust Conner to bail us out if SC stuffs Marcel

This is the correct check. Will be telling to see during this game. Will help set the blueprint for other teams planning against us. Need to hopefully have a balanced offense.

Getting tired of this parrotted BS about how they have the best D we have faced. FFS. No they don't.

I buried Raptor in my onion field... his ass was too sour for any good fanbase.

Previous broadcasts - mostly off of youtube so I can replay certain plays easily. The best replay is the Ole Miss game - they really show how to limit big plays, keep them from running, and keeping QB contained well... very effective!
