With the exception of New Mexico State there's not going to be an easy game for the remainder of the year.

Playing an elite defense on the road is always a risky proposition regardless of how capable their offense is.
It only takes a few bad turnovers or a few assignment busts to get in a tough spot in a game like this. Need to be on our game with execution. They're going to load up the box and make us deal with a lot of big bodies.

Coming off an emotional win in a high energy week against a rival and now going against a tough defense with an underperformed team record and looking for a big opportunity to turn it around.
We'll need a good week of preparation and focus. Good teams will bounce back and focus on the next opponent.

Always tough to play on the road against at decent team following a big home win. The chance for a letdown is HUGE.
And SC is no slouch at all. LSU and Bama both just squeaked by them.
If you had to pick one game the rest of the year with the biggest potential for an "upset", this is it.

We won by ten but the team had to earn it to beat Miss St. It was basically a trap game.
The SEC is what it is. You come to play or you lose. We don't have that offensive power to score at will and I doubt we sneak up on anyone prepping for only one QB.
We have to continue figuring it out each week and I am sure glad it's not my job to figure out how to run this offense.

Exactly. We should beat them but it is definitely a trap game. USCe is averaging 4 sacks a game. #2 in SEC and #3 overall. They are legit on defense and if we don't execute on offense it's going to be a long night.

On the flip side, this is going to be the worst offensive line we play! They've given up 32 sacks this year! THIRTY TWO! They don't have any threat at wr so Sellers is going to be running around all day and when he's scrambling he's turnover prone! SC has fumbled it 8 times this season! This offense is horrendous! I tend to agree with BMX when defining trap game. Usually it's a team you are favored by 10-14 against rather than a single score.
Not to mention that we also have a bye week and then cupcake the next two weeks. I might consider it a trap game if it fell between LSU and Texas. Not LSU and Bye/New Mexico St. There's no other game for our team to be thinking about right now. They are basically the only team we play for nearly a month between LSU and Auburn.
We may lose it. But not because it's a trap game, IMHO. But rather because they are a solid team, it's on the road, and QB play is still a bit unknown what we get week to week.

This is definitely not a trap game. South Carolina is good. It is on the road and at night. Their great defense combined with a questionable A&M offense will cause a lot of trouble. If I know this, then Elko and the players know this.

With the sips looming the next weekend and us going on the road to play a team with a poor record but has a lot of talent and appears to be starting to play better, that Auburn game is looking like a sort of trap
I say we stick with Wiggy as starting QB. Saturdays win probably fired him up but we have Reed ready to go to throw curveballs

I am not surprised that the line shifted from 5.5 points from 3.5 points. We are coming off a tough home game against LSU to play a road game at night against a well-rested South Carolina team coming off their second bye week. South Carolina has 25+ point road wins over Kentucky and Oklahoma and nearly beat LSU at home and Alabama on the road. Their only blowout loss is a 27-3 home loss to Ole Miss on 10/5 after their first bye week. For these reasons, I can see South Carolina upsetting us.
If this road game at South Carolina fell before our home game against Texas, I would call it a trap game. After this game, we have our second bye week and a cupcake game against New Mexico State. South Carolina is the only SEC team we play in the next 3 weeks until we play at Auburn on 11/23. That road game at Auburn is a true trap game because we will be playing a road game against an Auburn team battling for bowl eligibility with the home game against Texas looming the following weekend.
Hopefully, we can beat South Carolina to extend our winning streak to 8 games and improve to 6-0 in SEC play.

Heck we had a pretty close game with Miss State. And both our last 2 games away from Kyle filed have been close. Can't believe anyone would think this would be an easy win.
