With the exception of New Mexico State there's not going to be an easy game for the remainder of the year.
We're better than all the teams we're gonna be playing, but none of them are going to be easy to beat.

USCe is literally on the last page of total offenses rankings just above New Mexico State.

I don't see this game being close.

Then You must not have watched any USCe games

The refs literally stole the lsu game from them and they had the ball down 2 with a chance to beat bama

That atmosphere is going to be crazy Saturday night
That defense is going to come after us.
We need to bring out A game or we are in for trouble

Maybe. There isn't a conference game anyone expects to blow out an opponent like we did Mizzou.

I don't see 4-3 USCe (#12 in the SEC) having an electric atmosphere at this point. I'm sure they'll pipe in loud music and strobe the lights to the 85% capacity crowd.

They'll play hard with a good defense. They struggle to score more than 13 points on our defense. And we'll most likely win by 2 scores or more as long as we don't get pass happy and have turnovers. Or lose the special teams aspect of the game.

I feel at this point our fans are more looking for issues to manage their expectations than what is really there.

For one, they're sold out. I doubt their crowd is as low as 85% because they know how good they are and how really they could pull the upset.

For two, they may be near the bottom of total offense, but they're 13th in total defense. We need to get a passing game together if we want to score a lot because their rushing defense is actually really good.

For three, they're 4-3, but only 7 total points away from being 6-1. They can certainly score on talented teams. They put up 33 on LSU and 25 on Alabama, and they were in both games until the very end. LSU went ahead on a TD with a minute to go in the fourth, and SC had the ball with a chance to get a walk off field goal against Alabama.

They'll definitely be a challenging team, probably on par with LSU because it's on the road.

And why could we have a problem with shutting down their run? We shut down the vaunted LSU OL. I don't think this is gonna be a contest. Their QB is not as good as Nuss. People have been touting SC all year. They are 4-3. What was it that Parcells said about your record?

This is Beamer Ball 1.1, not enough athletes on the team, build great defense, hope something happens on special teams. But lose, rather than win, in this most recent version of VTech. I don't think they stand a chance.
You may be through with the past, but the past may not be through with you...

This is not really relevant since the game was weeks ago, but just looking at their scoring drives against LSU...

7 plays, 75 yards, TD. Great Drive.
13 plays, 65 yards, FG. Fine.
1 play, 10 yards, TD. Came after a blocked punt.
1 play, 75 yards, TD. Sellers long TD run. Broke a tackle or two.
3 plays, 75 yards, TD. Rocket Sanders 66 yard TD run.
4 plays, 0 yards, FG. Came after LSU sack/fumble.

After that field goal they went 3 plays for -13 yards and a fumble and then 3 and out to punt. Then missed a FG as time expired.

Take care of the football on offense. Stop the explosives on defense. Make tackles. Win the game.

This is my thinking on this one as well

Turnovers a d big plays: have to avoid giving up both

USCe formula for winning is to create turnovers a d get explosive plays on offense

I still think Auburn may be sneaky difficult late in the season

Any SEC road game can be difficult but we should be a TD+ favorite at Auburn. At least we probably would be as of today.

We would be about a 3 point favorite at Auburn right now.

Looks like most shops have us us -2.5 at SC now

No we wouldn't. Auburn is worse than South Carolina by a decent clip. Sagarin has us as at -6 or so and the vegas lines have be -2 or -3 in our favor based off his projections.

Lines are already out. -2, -2.5 at Auburn

Look at week 13.

Their offense is northing to write home about, but their defense is solid. Especially the dline. They also have a pretty talented dual threat QB that they practice against.
