Is the University really scared of saying black out? Is that color just off limits from saying now bc of the backlash crazies will have?
Probably scared that all the whiny old people will throw too much of a hissy fit

The reason I was told was because the University did not know if this was going to be a hot 2:30pm game or a 6:30 evening game until a week ago.

They were not going to call for a black out months ago and we end up playing at 2:30 and it's 96 degrees at Kyle.

The stars aligned and both teams are 6-1 & we got the night game. Perfect for a black out, so the team captains and head coach promotion started

Just do it folks. Let's show some solidarity during a pivotal game. Let's give the team support woth a simple gesture. It could lead to a tradition of BTHOlsu at Kyle every year.
I'd love to play corndog at Kyle every year. Let's do this!

back in my day the controversy was that the students would always wear neon to games. I don't really care about the black, but the hysteria and demanding people do this is pretty gay. Do whatever you want, it really doesnt matter.

Edit: Does anyone know where this idea came from? Is it just a way for retailers to sell shirts or what? What has black got to do with A&M or this game? Not trolling, honestly just wondering why this is happening at all.

1. Elko cares more about his team than you or me or anyone with their names on campus buildings.

2. The team leaders wanted Alternative uniform combos in the off-season. So we got maroon and white for helmets, jerseys, and pants, and mix and match.

They also made a blackout alternate.

3. The team captain and 12th Man asked fans to wear black. Elko heard this, and supported them.
