He has coached his sons teams his whole life.

I've said since day one, when his son is gone, he's gone.
Where's he going though? Do you think he stops coaching? Do you think he tries to force a NFL team to make him the HC as a package with drafting his son?

I don't give Prime as much credit as he probably deserves. I do think 7-2 is respectable and just to be in any playoff conversation should be a credit to his efforts. Now $ for $, we don't exactly know what the price tag is that CU boosters are on the hook for which might contribute to his efforts. Regardless, nobody is going to have a successful program without competitive NIL money.

That being said we are getting to a point in the season where there are some big programs (Florida State, Florida, etc) who are looking at all options for filling their coaching vacancies. Prime will likely be a candidate for those programs...how will he view those opportunities vs staying with the program he has been building at CU?

How will he do at those schools with their resources, NIL etc, recruiting prowess vs CU?

Question is: What is Prime's "dream coaching job"? If all jobs opened up, where would he go?

What was the guy before him who lost all the games doing?

I think he stops.
1, maybe 2 seasons tops without his son, assuming he wins enough to keep his job.

Florida State will come calling after this disastrous season. Colorado can't compete NIL-wise. It would be smart for him to leave.
Norvell's buyout is reported to be $63MM. He's not going anywhere.
Didn't people say something similar about Jimbo?

Yes, but we have resources that FSU can't even begin to match.

Prime absolutely owns Boulder right now. His net economic benefit to the University for just the 6 sold out home games this year was recently determined to be in the realm of $115 million dollars. And his overall economic impact due to attention, sponsorships, advertising, cross promotion was reported to be over $250 million LAST year. He completely has the run of the place, and some may remember he got a local reporter who had been critical of him and the program boycotted, with the support of the University. He has plenty of money, and apparently loves Boulder. He essentially has no expectations either. Why would he want the hassle of expectations, and oversight, and big-time boosters, by moving to Florida State (with the rumor being he has some bad blood.) Why would he want to put up with Jerry Jones? And CU has a legitimate shot at one of the top 4 spots in the CFP. Remaining games are all winnable games against Kansas, Utah, Oklahoma State. The Conference Championship would be against BYU-who certainly don't seem unbeatable. I don't care much for his antics, but he has been a huge success for a program that defined the word 'moribund'.

CU gonna be one of those teams that gets into the playoff and get floored by a Big 10/SEC team

Well apparently USC is after Longstreet because their QB commit is looking to flip to Colorado...

Maybe but he took a dead program at 1-11 and has them 8-2 in the second year.

IIRC, KU has had a lead in every game this season but right now at 3-6. Every loss except TCU by less than a TD.

They can beat CU.

Shame he makes his real argument on the field as opposed to coming here to argue…

It's crazy how Texas can run the big 12 and this board rightfully points out how the conference was trash. But Sanders has a good year and so many are willing to ignore the insanely weak schedule they've played to date.

Sounds like he's waiting to get hired at an SEC or Big10 school.

Again! The schedule doesn't matter. You can only play who's on the schedule. If he was losing to these same ( what you perceive) to be trash teams. You'd still be roasting him, Saying he couldn't coach. Maybe, just maybe the guy can actually coach. Ever think about that?
