FSU could very realistically go 2-10 the season after giving their coach an 8 year $84M extension.
The three turnovers in a row for Florida State were amusing but otherwise this was a root canal of a game to watch.

FSU started off 13-0 got beat 63-3 by georgia and have fallen off a cliff. with that loss included they are 1-7 in their last 8 games.
How did they go from undefeated last year to 1 win this year?

From a Clemson perspective this has been interesting to watch. FSU went all portal, Clemson is zero portal.
All portal for FSU has shown to be boom or bust. You get an almost new team every year. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. Clemson has stayed steady. Sure the last few years haven't been playoffs, but still 9+ win seasons amd top 25 finishes something like 13 years in a row now. I'll gladly take that.

LSU sucks at beginning seasons under Kelly. They got them early last year before Daniels had gotten his mojo. Florida State last year had a lot of upperclass talent, a senior QB leader who had been in the program and helped rebuild it, and an extremely unchallenging schedule outside of a couple games. Once the QB went down, it was over. The committee knew it and rightfully kept them out. The majority of their upperclassmen graduated or went NFL. They replaced QB leader with mediocre journeyman. This never works for NFL teams. But college coaches seem to think it will work for them. There's no leadership, no fire, nobody left who knows how to win. The coach was never as good as last year without that QB and is proving it now. And the team has given up with literally nothing to play for. Welcome to the ugly side of transfer portal and NIL. Once there's nothing to play for, there's no way to motivate mercenaries.bmks270 said:

Pretty similar scenario to TCU making the NC game with a bunch of 5th & 6th year seniors etc etc
