2026 Calypso (NC) North Duplin DL Trashawn Ruffin commits to Texas A&M

Coach Mike Elko and his staff have things rolling in the class of 2026 as they land a verbal commitment from Calypso (NC) North Duplin DL Trashawn Ruffin‍.

At 6-foot-3 and 307 pounds, Ruffin is the first DL prospect to join the class for defensive line coaches Sean Spencer and Tony Jerod-Eddie.

Ruffin received offers from schools such as Texas, LSU, USC, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida and 14 others, but he ultimately chose the Maroon & White.

Ruffin is the fourth member of A&M’s 2026 class.

Can you imagine the kids eyes walking into a fully packed Kyle Field after playing in a small stadium like that all these years.
