TexAgs' recruiting analyst Jason Howell joined TexAgs Live on Wednesday morning for another edition of Recruiting Country presented by American Momentum Bank, highlighting the latest news and notes from the recruiting trail surrounding Texas A&M.

Calypso (NC) North Duplin defensive tackle Trashawn Ruffin has been committed to Texas A&M since October, and he visited a couple of times this fall. He returned to College Station for Junior Day in January with his dad, and he locked in his official visit to Texas A&M the weekend of June 13 shortly afterward. As a top college prospect, others continue to pursue, and while he says he is solid in his decision he does have some plans to check out a few other options. He has four unofficial visits on his spring schedule. He has North Carolina (March 7), LSU (March 14), and South Carolina (March 29) planned and he will be back in Aggieland on March 22. As for summer official visits, he has scheduled to LSU (May 30), South Carolina (June 6), and North Carolina (June 20) in addition to his Texas A&M official.

The Aggies are doing some real work in Mississippi in the 2026 recruiting cycle, and TexAgs has confirmed a few top Mississippi standouts with spring visit plans. Brandon (MS) CB Preston Ashley and Picayune (MS) DE Nolan Wilson and OL Mitchell Smith will be in Aggieland on April 18. All three have visited in the past, including a trip to College Station last fall for the Aggies' match-up with Missouri. They all three hold offers from Texas A&M and schools across the country. Ashley also plans visit College Station in March with his 7-on-7 team California Power. Lake Cormorant (MS) Raderrion Daniels tweeted his plans to visit College Station this spring. He does not have a date set, but that could change very soon.
