I love how grounded everyone on this thread is. To 7-5 and beyond!

Georgia game aside, I still think t.u. drops another game somewhere
Vandy has that game circled

Imagine knowing A&M's sh/ttastic history of underperforming or sh/tting the bed and still being mad at the tweet in OP. So f'ing stupid.

But, I'm willing to be Charlie Brown holding the football...again.

elko is not jimbo nor sumlin. just sayin

edit to add: elko has gotten better with each challenge…he needs his own mo to establish before you guys bear doom and gloom on him due to the other admins.

We're winning it all this year if we execute Missouri style.

Anyone can beat anyone on any weekend. This season is even more proof. So many upsets/close games and we are barely past the mid way point in the season

We already dropped a game we should have won
Got it out of the way early

Better for the final rankings for sure

I'd be shocked if we made it to 10-1. You have a road games against SC at night and Miss St almost looked competent this week. LSU looking solid. We have tough games ahead

South Carolina sucks a big meat whistle. Playing Bama close isn't impressive. LSU will be tough.

Even if you think A&M has an 80% chance of winning each SEC game (@State, vLSU, @SC, @Auburn). That would only give you a ~40% chance of staying undefeated until the Texas game. Even if A&M is favored in each game, the only heavily favored game is next week versus Mississippi State. You are probably very mild favorites versus LSU. Maybe medium favorites @SC and @Auburn.

All that being said, it is possible to go undefeated into that game, but that would require a bit of luck.

Yeah, everyone get those e-push-ups in and e-focus on state so the IRL team doesn't lose.

THIS!!

Elko is the answer. The last time the Ags didn't choke away games they should've won, Elko was DC. I trust him to have the guys ready every week. MSU will be a perfect test of how this team is preparing and respecting each game.

All games remaining are tough, but Elko is the right guy to have his team playing up to their potential.

True. Other than NMSU it would be hard to chalk up any of the remaining games as automatic wins. On the other hand nothing looks unwinnable.

Auburn and Mississippi State aren't auto wins, but we'd have to play at a D or D- level and they'd have to play at an A lever to get interesting. We're a lot better than both of them are (Auburn turns the ball over so so much); I'd give us a 80%+ chance of winning each.

South Carolina is plucky but I think we match up well. Their qb is a mistake and turnover prone freshman, and our nasty pass rush will force him to make a lot of rushed decisions. We could easily be a 3 interception game for him.

LSU... Their qb is good to very good, but the rest of the team doesn't look that great - they would have lost to South Carolina but for a pretty iffy call on a return TD and they should have lost to Ole Miss last night (so freaking many unforced errors by Ole Miss. A receiver dropped a sure TD that was perfectly thrown and the Ole Miss secondary for their hands on 3-4 throws that could have turned into picks) Still, that qb is clutch and Brian Kelly has a Les Miles-esque way of pulling miracles out of his ass and then herp derping his way to victories, so I don't want to call them a W.

I bet we lose South Carolina or LSU but we've got a real shot at taking both.

It wouldn't require luck, it would just require the team to be focused and well-prepared every week and go out and give max effort and play up to its potential

We absolutely do not need luck to go undefeated into the tu game. We should be the favorites against each team meaning we just need to play to our potential each game. That's not luck

Math is hard
? He's right given his premise tho? Obviously that's just pure math and it can't take into account how what transpires during a game may affect chances of winning the next, and assumes that percent chance of winning is a real determining factor in how the game itself goes… but that math isn't wrong?

It would be more accurate to say, "historically, they are likely to lose another game because it's A&M, but under Elko they have a shot at being 10-1". If Clay doesn't sense a change this season, he hasn't been paying attention.

It's Clay freaking Travis. This is how he tweets. He's given us plenty of love over the years, and we've burned him every time.

Expecting him to get on his knees for Elko is just pathetic.

We and he have seen "It ain't like it used to be" before. And then it was like it used to be.
