I love how grounded everyone on this thread is. To 7-5 and beyond!

The issue is that the same sentiment is not shared with all programs deserving or not. tu had multiple years of "being back" before finishing 5-7 to 7-5. You never heard this from the national media.
Georgia game aside, I still think t.u. drops another game somewhere

Imagine knowing A&M's sh/ttastic history of underperforming or sh/tting the bed and still being mad at the tweet in OP. So f'ing stupid.

This will be the narrative until we make the playoffs or win the SEC

I'd be shocked if we made it to 10-1. You have a road games against SC at night and Miss St almost looked competent this week. LSU looking solid. We have tough games ahead

Even if you think A&M has an 80% chance of winning each SEC game (@State, vLSU, @SC, @Auburn). That would only give you a ~40% chance of staying undefeated until the Texas game. Even if A&M is favored in each game, the only heavily favored game is next week versus Mississippi State. You are probably very mild favorites versus LSU. Maybe medium favorites @SC and @Auburn.
All that being said, it is possible to go undefeated into that game, but that would require a bit of luck.

Let's just beat Mississippi State and go from there.

edit to add: elko has gotten better with each challenge…he needs his own mo to establish before you guys bear doom and gloom on him due to the other admins.

True. Other than NMSU it would be hard to chalk up any of the remaining games as automatic wins. On the other hand nothing looks unwinnable.
Or a lot of skill and consistency.jeffdjohnson said:

South Carolina sucks a big meat whistle. Playing Bama close isn't impressive. LSU will be tough.
? He's right given his premise tho? Obviously that's just pure math and it can't take into account how what transpires during a game may affect chances of winning the next, and assumes that percent chance of winning is a real determining factor in how the game itself goes… but that math isn't wrong?Admiral Nelson said:jeffdjohnson said:

It's Clay freaking Travis. This is how he tweets. He's given us plenty of love over the years, and we've burned him every time.Quote:
It would be more accurate to say, "historically, they are likely to lose another game because it's A&M, but under Elko they have a shot at being 10-1". If Clay doesn't sense a change this season, he hasn't been paying attention.
