Texas goes undefeated until we play them.

We beat Bama for the SEC championship.

Texas and A&M and Bama all go to the CFP.

Texas plays Bama and Wins.

We play Texas on a national stage for the entire nation to see in January and we send their ass home.

We beat them TWICE sin the same season. That would be awesome.

And it probably won't happen.

No. Texas should lose every game they play.

Aggies should never want t.u. to win.

We need to beat Texas when the world sees it. In the playoffs would forever put the little brother crap to bed. Think bigger.

Best Case Scenario: We win every game for the rest of the season and are named National Champions while Texas loses every game remaining on their schedule by 70+ points, gets kicked out of the SEC for being such an embarrassment. No conference will take them, they try to go independent, but can't compete against the conferences like the SEC and Big 10, and eventually they shutdown their entire athletic program.

I don't understand why so many of these "never again" sissies now want to see texas go undefeated.

Texas is about to go on a losing run. They are the only team so far who hasn't played anyone with a pulse.

We shall see. I don't think they can beat Georgia. And beating Arkansas at home will be a huge challenge.

One thing is certain. There's no fist pumping refs rooting for Texas. So if they have a game like Houston last year, they probably lose it.

I don't see them beating Arkansas or Georgia. The world doesn't want to admit it, but we actually have a better road to the playoffs than they do.

Your scenario can't happen. If Texas goes undefeated until we play them, they will hold the tiebreaker advantage over Bama for the SEC championship game.

lol. That's cute that you don't think their refs followed them to the SEC.

It definitely won't happen, as it is not possible.

Texas 11-1, loss to A&M.
Bama 11-1, loss to Vanderbilt.
A&M 11-1, no conference loss.

Texas holds common opponent tie-breaker over Bama with a win over Vanderbilt. A&M vs Texas in SEC title game.

I have to disagree, respectfully.

For me, thinking bigger is wanting t.u. to lose consistently while we win consistently. That scenario forces us to be put in and stay in the spotlight. Unfortunately, when t.u. was losing consistently in the recent past, we didn't capitalize with anything of significance such as making it to the SEC Championship game, much less the CFP.

Playing a winning program with a huge winning record over us and more significant wins in recent history does nothing for us on the grand stage even if we beat them because it will be one win. Boise State isn't more relevant than OU after their win.

In my opinion, us winning significant games consistently while t.u. loses consistently is the best way to shed the Little Brother moniker some of you still think we have.

Thinking bigger is ignoring Texas and focusing only on bettering ourselves.

The sip schedule has been really light. They always have the roster to do well, but i hate rankings prior to week 7 results because people far too frequently baseline their perceptions of teams off of these polls and early records - which are frequently distorted by early strength of schedule (in both directions).

Ex. A 5-0 team who drops 3 games through the remainder of the season will slip slowly - staying at the top of its "peer group" while a 2-3 team who wins out will lag at the back of its "peer group" as it fights into the rankings. The perception from early rankings may persist as a 5+ position advantage at the end of the season.

That would not be ideal. Realistic ideal would be tu already has 2 losses and needs to beat us to have a chance at the playoffs. We then embarrass them and they finish 9-3. We finish 11-1

Ideal ideal would be tu loses every game and needs to beat us just to make a bowl game. We go on to embarass them in their final game of the season.

My realistic ideal scenario would be Texas has 2 losses and needing to win at Kyle Field to make the CFP. We then beat Texas by double digits to drop them to 9-3 (5-3 SEC) and knock them out of the CFP. We finish 11-1 (8-0 SEC), lock up a CFP spot, and probably a first-round home playoff game.

If we lose one more regular season game and then SEC championship to finish 10-3 (6-2 SEC), we still have a good chance of making the CFP.

If we lose one more regular season game and do not make our first-ever SEC Championship game appearance, we have an excellent chance of making the CFP.

If we win out until losing to Georgia in SEC championship, we are a lock for playoff and have an excellent chance of hosting a first round playoff game.
