I think every team gets at least one loss.

Change my mind.

I'm going to edit to say no team in the top 25 right now or the preseason poll as of week one will go undefeated.

The last time no division I college football team went undefeated was 1982.

I'd wager against your proposition.

For real? Wow, I did not realize that. What a crazy stat.

I think Ohio State goes undefeated if I had to bet hard on one team. It's hard to see a loss with that schedule, despite D line looking more fragile than anticipated.

Ohio State would still need three playoff wins.

agree...No SEC team is going to do it. Ohio State and Utah would be my two picks of who COULD do it

Do you mean undefeated through the regular season or undefeated through the playoffs and national championship?
t.u. will go 12 - 0 before facing Georgia (also 12 - 0).

If u r talking SEC teams, I believe this could happen.

Only one top ranked team will end the year with a win. The question is whether that one team slipped up earlier in the season or not. The playoffs along with the big ten and sec expansion makes it less likely that we have an undefeated team.

I wouldnt bet even money on a team to go undefeated.

Hi back to 2022 Georgia, who went 15-0.

College football seasons where no team goes undefeated are really rare.

I'm still betting against.

I think tu loses at least one, maybe two in regular season.

Ohio State has a good chance as well to run the table; Oregon isn't at their level, and Penn State (like us) tends to choke in big games that could turn trajectories.

All that being said, at the end of the day it isn't winning all the games that matters --it's winning the LAST game. Just ask New England.

Tu plays Georgia after ou. They both won't go 12-0. You could easily have 4 6-2 teams tied at the top of the sec with tiebreakers determining who plays game 13. All 4 plus a 5th sec team will likely make the 12 team field

Best bets to go 13-0 in regular season are Ohio, Utah and Miami.

At this point I think the 12 teams will be 5 SEC, 1 Big 12, 2 ACC, 3 Big 10 and 1 other conference champ. Based on the polls; the SEC is better than the others this year leading to the 5 spots.

Looking at the schedules of the 9 ranked SEC teams, there is a decent chance that 2 teams go 7-1 in SEC games, and 5 additional teams go 6-2. This will create a difficult situation and probably lead to a 9 game schedule very soon.

Georgia and Alabama could win everything after they play each other and end up 8-0 and 7-1 like they usually do. Tennessee and Ole Miss have the easiest schedules and if they could beat Georgia would likely make the title game.

Tiebreakers would be big and so could rankings if there are 7 or 8 qualified playoff teams and only 4-5 spots

Interestijg point. CCG adds one game not in the 12-game CFP. If you win that and are P4 you are reasonable expecting if 0 or 1 loss to get a bye. Byes are against first round winners and are quarterfinals. Then semi then finals. So 12+1+3.

Anyone in a CCG that loses can be in no man's land, but expect SEC and B1G to push for access for them. So they slot in the first round and have to win four to be NC for 12+1+4.

I expect all non-P4 annual fifth conference qualifier will have played a CCG so they in effect are same path as P4 runnerups.

Non-CCG participants actually are well positioned to surprise CCG participants because they have one few games especially if a home team in first round. 12+0+4. CCG runner up is at a disadvantage against them just based on total games played. Games against good teams will cause more injuries. Unavoidable.

16-0 to win playoff and be undefeated right?

I also don't see that happening

I don't think any SEC team will go undefeated even through the regular season. I think Georgia will finish 11-1 (7-1 SEC) with one loss at Alabama this Saturday, but I won't be surprised if Georgia finishes with an undefeated 12-0 (8-0 SEC) regular season record for the 4th straight year.

I think Ohio State has the best chance of becoming an undefeated 13-0 Power 4 champion. Ohio State's toughest road games are at Oregon on 10/12 and Penn State on 11/2, but Ohio State will probably be road favorites in both games. Oregon isn't on Ohio State's talent level. Ohio State has won 7 straight games against Penn State, including 3 straight in College Park, Pennsylvania.

An undefeated national champion would finish 16-0 (12 regular season games, 1 conference championship game and 3 playoff games after a first round bye). It would be crazy if Georgia and Ohio State are both 15-0 before the national championship game.

I hate the lack of divisions, lack of parity in schedule difficulty, and the fact that obscure tiebreakers will decide the CCG participants a lot of years.

They play each other in a few weeks, so you're 100% wrong.

Obviously UGA already has a loss now but your post was wrong when you made it.

Why some people even get on TexAgs and post anything if they are this much a downer on the Aggies, in love with tu, and this ignorant about what they are talking about.
