The Cowboys alternated Roger Staubach and Craig Morton in the 1971 season, including every snap in a game against Chicago, which they lost. Once Tom Landry settled on Staubach for the remainder of the season, the Cowboys went on a tear and won the Super Bowl. So, history shows that it sometimes works, but it also can flop in a big way if the coach and team aren't prepared to handle the dynamic.

King Hill and Dr. Frank Ryan did it at Rice and both played in the NFL. Hill was the Number 1 pick in the draft but Ryan had the more successful NFL career for the Browns.

As mentioned earlier Cody Carlson ans Tom Mueke did it successfully at Baylor

Great catch - I got to watch a number of games at Municipal Stadium in Cleveland with Dr. Frank Ryan as QB for the Browns, passing to the likes of Paul Warfield, Gary Collins, and Leroy Kelly.

If you're going to be smart at least spell two correctly. You know... that word you learned in 2nd grade.

I think Reed and Weigman are both great

Chris Leak and Tim Tebow at Florida. Leak was designated the starter but Tebow still played a lot. I can't think of another.

Mac would have won another NC if he played Opie instead of Chrissy
Utmost respect for Applewhite.

I was told that Simms showed up to school on 1st day in a limo ...

IMO, if your playing 2 quarterbacks, that means you don't have a quarterback. You play 2 quarterbacks when one is hurt. Don't rotate.
Or if you do not know which one you want to transfer yet..

Lmao. yeah, Ewers proved that by going 24 for 43 passing vs Washington. and then dipsht Manning who underthrows open WRs or successfully runs against 2-star-recruit teams.

Having two QBs that can play is wildly different than playing two QBs. Good teams don't do it.

I would first, define great. I'm not sure aTm has one great QB, much less two.

2 star recruits? He outran Denver Harris, a former 5 star that's probably still on the aggie payroll.

RC Slocum played 3 Quarterbacks in the first game of the 2002 Season:

Mark Farris - starter
Dustin Long - softest & most catchable ball, broke several records that year
Reggie McNeal - Freshman phenom who beat #1 OU later that Season

Gig 'em.

The combination of Lance Pavlas and Bucky Richardson was incredible and nearly unstoppable
O, somewhere in this favored land dark clouds may hide the sun, And somewhere bands no longer play and children have no fun! And somewhere over blighted lives there hangs a heavy pall, But Mudville hearts are happy now, for Casey hit the ball.

RC didn't rotate them tho. Brandon started at the beginning of the season. Randy took over when Brandon struggled. Randy got hurt. Brandon led us to the Big 12 Championship game win (in which Lechler was the emergency QB and almost had to play if I recall) .

As fate would have it, I played on a team with nothing but quarterbacks. Two "great" quarterbacks pale in comparison to having 57 great quarterbacks.

Leak and Tebow are really the only example of a 2 QB system succeeding.

I'm not saying we have 2 great qb's or even 1 but I do think this whole thing could work out if Weigman gets healthy . Having a guy on the sideline who has a good amount of game experience could pay some big dividends later in the season .

He would have played for one, but he's not beating Miami
That Miami squad was insane.
