I dont think "moved" is accurate. The kickoff times are slowly just becoming a half hour after the nominal tv time

The 11 a.m. games rarely end in time for the 2:30 kickoffs, so I have always wondered why the 2:30 games were not simply changed to 3:00 start times.

"Moving" the game to a 2:50 kick off is the equivalent of your flight "making up time in the air" to get there on time.

They schedule the flight to take 30 minutes longer than it actually will be so they can always be on time.
