After a crazy Week 2 for underdogs, a full slate of Week 3 college football comes with a full slate of college football PrizePicks lineups. I’m here to tell you what PrizePicks projections I have my eye on for this weekend’s college football slate.

*Numbers are subject to change*

Aggies of the Week

QB Conner Weigman
MORE THAN 18.5 Rushing Yards
Weigman can move. His athleticism isn’t a surprise to Aggies, but he has found consistent ways this year to escape the pocket for good yards. I don’t trust the edge rushers for Florida enough to think that they’re going to sack a quarterback whose most underappreciated skill is not taking sacks.

Lineup of the Week

Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears
MORE THAN 0.5 Passing Yard
Bang.

Travis Hunter, WR, Colorado
MORE THAN 0.5 Rush + Rec TDs
Everyone knows about Travis Hunter. Whether or not you like the Colorado way, I have Hunter scoring a rushing or receiving touchdown against Colorado State more than 60 percent of the time. That is a ridiculous number, and I will be throwing this play into many-a-lineups this week.

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
MORE THAN 311.5 Passing Yards
Colorado State looks really bad right now, particularly in the secondary. In addition to their secondary looking bad, Colorado running back and Ohio State transfer Dallan Hayden has been ruled out for the game, which takes away a large chunk of their already horrid run game. Also, the Colorado vs. Colorado State hatred has grown significantly over the last 12 months after a game last season that featured 27 total penalties and a midfield scrum before kickoff. I’m looking for Colorado to run up the score and for Deion and Shedeur to try and quiet the haters.

Josh Williams, RB, LSU
LESS THAN 44.5 Rushing Yards
LSU is struggling to run the ball. In a world where more than 50 percent of their rushing attack isn’t just Jayden Daniels scrambles, it may be hard to find yards in between the tackles for LSU in 2024. South Carolina’s defensive line and linebackers have also made an early and emphatic statement against its previous two opponents. In a game where South Carolina is going to try to slow the game down, and LSU is going to need to throw the ball to test that South Carolina secondary, I don’t see a world where Josh Williams gets more than eight carries. Kaleb Jackson, the other LSU running back, has looked more effective thus far and even got more carries than Williams in the first half against Nicholls last week.

Chamon Metayer, TE, Arizona State
MORE THAN 15.5 Receiving Yards
After a wonderful showcase in Week 1, Metayer had an awfully quiet Week 2 against Mississippi State. He has only run 23 total routes on the year, but this is largely due to the game script where the Sun Devils blew out Wyoming at home and then ran for 346 yards against Mississippi State. With minimal talent at the receiver position, when big plays are needed on third down and in the red zone, I believe that the Sun Devils are going to look Metayer’s way. Texas State’s offense has looked very explosive thus far, and their defense last year finished third in the entire country in TFLs and is 42nd in the country in returning defensive production. Arizona State just may be forced to throw the football this week. Give me all of the Metayer stock I can get.

Other Dawson Selections

Carson Beck, Georgia - MORE THAN 212.5 Passing Yards

  • Discounted Player Square

Arian Smith, Georgia - MORE THAN 32.5 Receiving Yards
Luke Grimm, WR, Kansas - MORE THAN 59.5 Receiving Yards
Dominic Lovett, WR, Georgia - LESS THAN 54.5 Receiving Yards
Jahiem White, RB, West Virginia - MORE THAN 64.5 Rushing Yards
