For what it's worth, I don't think he was making light. I read that as somebody saying that they participated in Cut for Bonfire '99, I'm guessing with their Aggie student at the time.

Fair enough, but instead of saying "the one that fell", why not say "25 years ago" or "in '99"? Poor choice of words imho.

IIRC, the last time Burn was postponed, it was held on MLK weekend.

The Last Shift was tonight, culminating in the Last Shift photo, a tradition since 2009. Before the shift began, my camera dropped on the lens and I only got it "working" as the shift began. Autofocus is shot. I'm going to pour a lot of bourbon, wait for these photos to import, and hope for the best. Squeeze, Army.

As mentioned above, before Last Shift, my camera fell and was damaged. I didn't realize how bad until I got back to my desk to develop the photos. I still feel sick about how the "Last Shift" photo turned out. In focus on the left of frame to blurry on the right.

Out of my appreciation for the Aggies who built Bonfire and the people who supported them, and feeling awful about how this final - and most anticipated - photo of the season turned out, I am offering the photos in high resolution without watermark for personal use for print. You can download two versions of the photo at https://dion-c.me/last-shift-gift/. They print reasonably well at 4x6. I am told that 13x19 is "artistic".

As far as Burn goes, my gear is with Nikon for repair. If it is not complete by Burn, I will have a matching rental rig.
