Can we give the kid a shot I don't think it can get much worse than what we saw last night.

Reed looked really good in the bowl game. He had poise and just made plays. To throw for 360 in your first start was impressive. I would like to see him play some if Weigman continues to struggle.
That said, no qb on our roster would have looked great last night. ND has a very good defense, and our pass protection still sucks.
I love seeing all these guarantees being thrown around so liberally the last 12 hours or so.romanagg11 said:
They WILL transfer if they don't play next game. Guaranteed! Those 2 backups are good quarterbacks.

Reed has the biggest upside in this goofy sideline to sideline offense that refuses to stretch the field

I think reed is the best. Way faster and I think might be a little smarter after seeing what I saw from Conner last night

I like Reed the most - his passing skills against OSU - with no starting reps - were better than what we saw from Henderson. Henderson feels like a big athlete that can throw the ball enough to keep defenses honest, but he's not going to be a precision passer, IMO. If we had a more dominant OL that might work to build an offense that grinds out yards on the ground, but we don't.
The biggest issue with Reed is his size, but he may have added some weight. He was just really slight in the bowl game and that would be potentially problematic over the course of the season.

Good QB play is incredibly evasive at A&M for whatever reason. I would argue we have had one and a half good seasons of QB since Johnny left Aggieland.
- Trevor Knight for half a season before he got hurt.
- Kellen Mond in 2020 (and 2020 alone).
Crazy how long it's been since we've had a steady, reliable arm under center for two seasons.

It's funny how people keep saying this or saying that there's no way we beat the domers even if Reed or Henderson played.
You have no idea whether or not either of them would have looked great because neither of them had a chance to show it.
