I don't like the travel part of this game, especially as the 1st game. I liked the under but didn't play.

Game isn't near where gameday is. Game starts when gameday ends. If you pay that much to go over there, you aren't staying for all of gameday.
It's an awesome one off game. From having been, it's an amazing experience and great way to kick off week 0. Week 0 only exsist for long travel teams (usually people playing Hawaii to get and extra bye. So this counts too.

I read in an article that they are getting a day or 2 or sightseeing after the game.

There was a very significant crowd earlier in the morning. It's an 11am (CDT) kick and the stadium is a mile and a half away. Makes sense that the crowd would leave within the last hour to make it to the game
