Didn't read all of thread but I'd vote for the Texas Safari Hunt. Because it will be us versus the zebras if history holds true. I see no change from before with all the ass sucking from the league offices to start. Texas bites.

It's the tu game. That's it. The best nicknames happen generically. However the generic name for the game can be purchased. What about the Lone Star Light Classic?

Honestly, I don't want it to have any special names. After having been in the SEC for 12 years without them, it was nice not having to deal with their arrogance, fans, etc. I care about beating LSU, Bama (whenever we play them again), Florida, and Notre Damn just as much if not more (in the case of LSU and ND) than them.

I've moved on, they aren't that important to me. Of course, game week, I will enjoy the nostalgia of the rivalry, I am an Ag of the 90s who remembers campus bonfires, etc.

But IMO, beating ND this year to start the season and to start the Elko era is 100x more important to me than beating the sips at the end of the year.

Each school chose their own distinct pronouns and now it's very different.

Was a much different time into terms of competition. SWC while amazing for easy road trips, it really was a turd conference at the end.

College football and the media need big brands. College football has theirs and it takes HUGE movements to create new faces.

A&M is not a "blue blood" we're not a media darling.

Penn St,. Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Ohio St, Miami, Florida St, Florida, USC, UTrans, OU, and lastly.. the newest face to the group who was added in 15+ years ago, Oregon. Those are the meal tickets for College football. Clemson is well on their way

For A&M to be added in, we have to do more than win every other year against UTrans. We need championships in Football. One in baseball and one in football in a 2 or 3 year span would definitely help.

A&M has a long way to go. Everything is and has been in place for A&M for decades. Our culture has held us back.

Hate to break it to you amigo, but that mentality never really went away even when we had an awesome run of not being in the same conference. Far too many Ags measure their dicks against whatever tu is doing, and that loser mentality will be the governing mentality again no matte what within 3 years.

It's who we are, we can't help ourselves. We had a brief moment in the sun where we actually realized we could focus on Texas A&M and realized that we don't have to get permission from tu or compare ourselves to them in every capacity. But it was short lived, and honestly since the announcement of them snaking their way into our conference, the majority of conversations have gravitated back to how we compare to them.

I don't think it will ever really change either. Too many Ags have been conditioned to spend more time focusing on some stupid irrelevant way to one up tu rather than to make A&M the center of focus. It's why you see the stupid horns down t-shirts and shvt everywhere and the proverbs stuff about cutting horns off the wicked and every time TV cameras focus on the crowd everybody does horns down instead of thumbs up.
