Included in that home/away mix is Georgia. Georgia will pummel them in Austin imo. That might leave it up to us to take them out of playoff contention

Our schedule is not that hard this year relative to past years . We have four home games against potentially very good teams . None will be unwinnable. Road games @Fl, Ms St, Scar and Auburn. Not easy by any stretch but also none that are unwinnable.

Have to keep us in top 20 for a early season top 20 match up with ND in our first game. they can tank us if we lose against ND or look smart if we win. With ND so High, they can keep them in top 20 if they lose to us for a few more weeks.

First 4 weeks of season is Advertisement Rankings.

The sip schedule is softer than a pillow filled with whip cream.
Before Texas was in every game in the SEC was said to be a grueling slog where you could never take a week off or look ahead. Every weekend a war of survival. But now as of this year you can be in the SEC and have a schedule that's "softer than a pillow filled with whip cream". Man, things change fast around here.

As I pointed out to the other sip. It's on you if you cannot see the difference in your schedule this year and what we played the last 12 years in the SEC West.

I'll try to help you out. OUs schedule is like our schedule the past 12 years. If you had their schedule which has the following preseason SEC ranked teams of:

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 13.

Now your schedule has the following.

1 at home, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15 and 16.
5 of the bottom 6. LOL

It's almost comical how much different they made both of your schedules.

Heck, if you did not have to play A&M and OU, maybe the SEC could have also given you 10 and 13 as well.

I knew sips were not that smart but arguing this one just makes you look really bad.

You act as if "a pillow filled with whip cream" isn't a step up in difficulty from what you are used to.

I was in Vegas a 1 1/2 weeks ago and they were betting on us to win 8.5 games.

Yeah, that sound right, doesn't it? 8 wins, decent season, 9 wins better than average season…

I just want us to beat tu this year, our overall record takes a backseat to beating the dildohorns…

Seems more than fair to be honest.

Sounds right.

New HC. New offensive system, new OC.

We're bringing back a QB that has been hurt and has not proven himself in a full season yet.
We lost a key receiver and a few key defensive players.
Our DB situation looks ok, but will also be a liability.
Our receiving group is not top tier but has potential.

8 wins would be ok, not great. Beat Texas.
9 wins and losing to TX - not great. Beat Texas.
10 wins, losing to TX - good. probably make the playoffs - and so would they.

I disagree with that take. The SEC schedule is usually tough but not always. This fall tu magically gets to play Miss State who is in their 3rd coach in 3 years and gutted. Plays the least talented arky team since 2019. Plays Vandy after they get gutted and get a new staff. Plays Kentucky after they lose most of their starters, including stud QB & RB. Play Florida who has a lame duck coach, lost half their starters to the nfl and portal, and plays them when their coach will likely already be fired. Get OU after they lose 8 OL to the portal and NFL, and QB. Gets Michigan after they lose 18 starters both DCs and HC. It's a wild scheduling anomaly that can make a good team seem greater than they are. I don't recall A&M or really any team getting so many breaks.
A&M got a break when half of the North Carolina team quit before the NY6 Bowl!

Cool, its 2024. We are talking about the 2024 regular season schedule.

Looked like the same Texas to me. Offense was good. Qb was still inconsistent. Defense was still soft. Against some bad teams. Also the Big 12 was just bad, and you still couldn't beat OU.

1. QB was inconsistent - Well, if 3500 yds, 22 TDs vs 6 picks and 69% completion percentage is inconsistent, I guess I'll take inconsistent.
2. Defense was soft - great against the run, horrible against the pass. Soft? Ok, I guess that's kind of accurate somehow.
3. Big 12 was bad - Final poll saw Big 12 with five ranked teams and SEC with six.
4. You still couldn't beat OU - true. 8-17 vs OU since 2000. Pretty terrible.

Longhorns schedule is why they will win 10-11. No Bama. No lsu. No ole Miss. they barely play the top half of the West. "Lucky" scheduling.

I don't get us making these kind of schedule arguments. Our schedule has No Bama, No Georgia, No Ole Miss. We have LSU, but LSU is not in the same league as Georgia right now, and they have Georgia. The thing that would make our schedule tougher is just that we have to play them. Given our schedule is "easy" this year, we should stop dissing the schedule of other SEC teams.

Aggies are saying we have the easiest schedule since being in the SEC.

It is the sips acting like their schedule is not easy.

If they could actually state the truth, the discussion would stop. Don't hold your breath.

Or the talent around him or coaches are overrated

Pick your poison

But the truth be told they purposely set UT up to go far this year with an easy schedule as to leapfrog them into dominance now that Bama is becoming irrelevant

And the media will play them up while ignoring how easy the schedule is

I've seen this script before

#5 preseason. #2 recruiting class 2024. #2 currently recruiting class 2025

Yeah, totally irrelevant

That is funny to see tu at #4. Now they will play in a conference where defense matters.

It's the old Howard Stern formula. 50% love you, 50% hate you. 100% watching. Although I think it's probably 80/20, because sips suck dongs, and Conte is definitely blowing somebody at EsipN.

Sorry man. My sarcasm sailed right over your head. I mentioned Case McCoy because he was the worst starting QB Texas has trotted out in over 30 years…and he is undefeated against Texas A&M.
And he didn't win because of the officials. The targeting call was arguable, but correct by rule. No, he won because he scrambled for 25 yards right down the middle of the field like a baby giraffe with a broken leg and nobody bothered to tackle him.
