Fixing the tickets is a rookie mistake. We are in the NIL age. This mistake needs to be capitalized on.

Conner needs set up a table after each game and charge $20 to sign your ticket and fix the misspelling of his name. Collectors will obviously pay it, but a bunch of random fans will pay it too.

This is going to be worth as much as a Mickey Mantle rookie card. Book it!

How do you know this wasn't the plan all along?!

In their defense spelling it with -er is a little strange

Seems like a waste of money. As a season ticket holder, I couldn't care less about what is printed on the tickets. I think the athletic department should wait until the end of the season and see how many season ticket holders even want to have a replacement sent. Only send it to those people. I personally would rather see that money spent elsewhere.

You're in the minority

If he could care less about what is printed on the tickets, would he be in the majority?

the appropriate graphic design intern has been fired.

Never depend on the writer of the content or the designer. Always use a proofreader/QA before going to press.

Always!

I think this is a slightly embarrassing but forgivable mistake that has zero consequences in real life, and I feel like the response from the athletic department was completely appropriate. I also think if you disagree with me you're probably a big baby

Lol, this is hilarious and ridiculous on like 5 different levels. How does this happen? Who got fired over this? Half of season ticket holders can't get it right either. Why is this the first email we've ever seen from Trev?

This is gonna cost like $70K to fix, but Trev is here to cost cut.

Quote:

Dear Football Season Ticket Holders,

Texas A&M Athletics thanks you for your continued support of Texas A&M Football. We are excited to welcome you back to Kyle Field on August 31st for what will be a historic day as we kickoff the Coach Elko era.

Season tickets were delivered last week and unfortunately, the McNeese game ticket contains a graphic design error. Conner Weigman's first name was misspelled. We have apologized to Conner and his family for this mistake, and we are actively establishing a more robust proofing process moving forward to prevent future errors. Any printed tickets received for the McNeese game are still valid and should be used on game day.

In contrition for this mistake, after the conclusion of the season, Texas A&M Athletics will mail a complimentary commemorative season ticket to all season ticket holders, regardless of if you received printed tickets or digital tickets. Each season ticket account will receive one commemorative season ticket sheet as a keepsake for what we believe will be a special season in Aggieland. Additional information will be available at a later date.

Sincerely,

Trev Alberts
Texas A&M Director of Athletics

We have just over 50k season ticket holders. Bulk mail for envelopes is around $0.18. A quick google search suggests the tickets run less than $.40 to print. So about $30k or probably the salary of whoever made the screwup.

Got any proof to back that up? You made the claim- prove it.

His parents were prescient and realized he could save tens of dollars on ink over his lifetime if they named him Trev instead of Trevor. Tre was too cheap and sounded redneck, but Trev had just enough sophistication to save appearances while also being cost saving.
