I know for a fact that Ohioans cook, and even worse eat, white bread dressing for Thanksgiving.

How can we possibly co-exist with people like that?

Have you tried their "chili"?
Thry pour mild Pace's on cream cheese to keep it from being too spicy with their tortilla chips…we ordered fajitas at a Texas themed restaurant in the Mall of America in the early 90s and asked to get pico added. The server said they could cut up some tomatoes and banana peppers for us…

Moving to the BIG 10 doesn't make a sense for us. In football baseball and basketball. We would lose more than we would gain.

When I was at a restaurant in Newport Beach, California, I ordered the BBQ rib special. It was ribs with marinara sauce poured over them. LOL, what do they know, they're just stupid west coast yankees.

Bookmarked back at you.

Answer me this one. I get the sips are a horrible fan base. I get they try to control everything. But that's not going to happen now. FYI Ohio State is basically the sips fan base. They are the exact same but will actually control the Big 10. Texas is not going to control the SEC.

What are you so afraid of to actually want to cut off your nose to spite your face? Are you really that thin skinned or paranoid to trade out the atmosphere and venues and top level competition in the majority of all sports to lie to yourself that going to the Big 10 is a good idea?

You should probably just become a sip fan because I actually could see them heading to the Big 10 in 5-10 years.

Pretty good point about the Ohio State fan base and the similarities to sips. Would it really be better?

Sips are low down, four-flushing SOBs, but 99% of them are eating cornbread stuffing on Thanksgiving. They aren't animals.

Nothing in the B1G excites me

It is a boring, stodgy conference

The amount of travel involved to any of these games would suck, both for players and fans.

College Station to Gainsville 951 miles
College Station to Minneapolis 1,112 miles

College Station to Columbia, SC 1,038
College Station to East Lansing. MI 1,248 miles

Many of you refuse to travel to Baton Rouge. I've been once and don't blame you. Their fans are Texas Tceh trash-like, the city is terrible.

Many of you refuse to go to Jerry World. I've been twice
I went to Mizzou, didn't see many of you there.

Most of us that travel to away games don't care if the flight is to Georgia or Ohio. I'll predict that most of you complaining about travel/distance don't even go to many or any road games

This literally just explained everything and totally de-legitimized any of your opinions with me (not that I ever considered the idea of moving from the SEC remotely legitimate in the first place).

My one and only trip to South Bend was actually one of the most underwhelming and horrible opposing fan experiences ever in my 35+ years of attending Aggie football games.

The SEC guaranteed us no further expansion in our state, then stabbed us in the back when EsipN started waving money around.

That alone is enough reason to tell them to eff off and look for another home.

If they can go back on a guarantee that easily, how many other ways are they going to screw us over?

Please link any documentation that shows or even implies a "guarantee". Not a handshake or gentleman's agreement....a guarantee. Spoiler alert: it doesn't exist.

I hate it as much as anyone, but Sankey did exactly what anyone in his position would have done. He didn't have a choice.

Sankey ruined the SEC when he let tu and mobilehoma in the door. The camel is in the tent.

3hours to most BIG schools, it's not like a bus ride over to MS AL AND FL

The ten best schools in the BIG are better than the 10 best SEC but it is hard to admit.

TAMU GA tu - Only schools with BIG TEN tier 1 money

TN AU AL FL LSU - Second tier money

AR MO MS MSST SC KY VAN OK - Third tier money

Unfortunately, spoken words don't matter anymore and even written words are on shaky ground (see ACC GOR). The almighty dollar is blinding the decision-makers to the detriment of tradition, pageantry and regionality that used to make college football unique among all sports. I hope the sport can maintain some semblance of its history as the drive for increased revenue runs amok.

The SEC is the most suitable conference for us. Joining the Big 10 would mean making trips to the west coast to play USC, UCLA, Oregon, or Washington and northeast to play Penn State or Rutgers. Even with the SEC additions of Oklahoma and Texas, all 16 teams will be in the central and eastern time zones. I am glad there are no cross-country trips for SEC athletics.

September game at Minnesota is fantastic. Catch the Twins on Friday night, college game on Saturday and Vikings on Sunday. Also great beer and food

Having been to every B1G stadium (before PAC schools joined) other than NW, Ill and Purdue.... some are great and some just suck. Mich St in November might be the coldest I've ever been - rained in Q1 then snowed the rest of the game. Penn St is only impressive to people who have never been to Kyle and it's a giant PITA to get too. The Big House is over rated as well. Wisconsin is a good time.

If we leave for the Big 10, tu will be off the leash and will destroy the SEC. SEC has no idea what they let walk through the door. We are probably the only SEC member who knows how tu operates and can strategically block them as long as we stay a member. We are an asset to help the other SEC members understand the underhanded ways of tu. We leave,...tu has their way with the SEC, no doubt. SEC only gets weaker with tu in the mix. What in the last 60 years makes you think this is anywhere close to accurate? The conference already has more loyalty to them than us. They will ban the horns down gesture before the first game is played, guaranteed.

My one and only trip to South Bend was actually one of the most underwhelming and horrible opposing fan experiences ever in my 35+ years of attending Aggie football games.

I worked with a division of a financial services company based there and had to take weeklong business trips at least quarterly. We had a company dinner at the college football hall of fame while it was located there (it lost money and moved later…also not the same experience as Canton which I've also been to twice visiting friends nearby and seeing a couple of Indians' games. The old Indians' stadium was like G. Rollie White with awful sightlines due to columns. But luckily no one was there so you sat where you wanted…)

The third thing I was going to mention was that while we were in the Cedar Rapids, IA area we saw several Dallas-based restaurants come and go including Sonic, Dickey's BBQ, and Gengis Khan Mongolian BBQ. The one continuing theme from the earlier Minnesota trip as part of my work in the early 90s that included the Mall of America visits was a search for decent beef fajitas. Cedar Rapids had an Irish-themed restaurant that was popular that served them. Nope. Someone started a restaurant with Fajitas in its name…nope. We finally ended up with quarterly trips to Chili's which did a decent job. Then we had a college guy that we knew who worked at Hyvee special order 500 pounds of actual skirt to sell at his store and we bought 25 pounds of it to eat and freeze so we could make our own. You could easily buy flank but not skirt…so most fajitas renditions were flank derived…barbarians…

I moved to Ohio with the Air Force and I can confirm that their chili is indeed disgusting, and so is the Mexican food. I used to think that they had just not been introduced to good Mexican, but it turns out, they actually like the bad stuff...actually a lot of Texas BBQ up here, though.
