Ummmmm, not so. We did have the most profane, racist song in college football. That party is over/VP at Pierce and Pierce said:We had the best intro in college football with Power. Now... not so much. Very Aggie.TJaggie14 said:

We all understand you would be happier with your neo nazi metal heads playing an obscure song that isnt very good.Leonard H. Stringfield said:Ummmmm, not so. How bad do we want another societal changing/relevant tune? Not sure this one would fly as it's pretty short on profanity and racial slurs...
An act called Ministry?
I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.Leonard H. Stringfield said:

Song: "power" by Kayne West
Quote:
(Verse 1)
I'm reppin' A&M, we on the rise, yeah, we're gonna win
Got that maroon and white, we got the fight, we got the spin
From College Station, we're takin' over, watch us ascend
In Kyle Field, where legends rise, where the Aggies never bend
(Pre-Chorus)
We're the powerhouse, we dominate every field
When we step on that gridiron, it's our time to wield
From the first snap to the final whistle, our spirit never yields
We're the A&M Aggies, with strength that's unconcealed
(Chorus)
Now this is power, A&M power
We're on top, every hour, we tower
In the SEC, we devour
With grit and might, we never cower
A&M power, A&M power
(Verse 2)
Johnny Football set the stage, now we're blazing trails
With each touchdown, we leave our mark, we never fail
From the 12th Man's roar to the Aggie War Hymn's wail
In our veins runs the spirit, our legacy to unveil
(Pre-Chorus)
We're the powerhouse, we'll outshine every foe
From College Football Playoff dreams to championships we sow
With every play, we let our talents show
We're the A&M Aggies, with a fire that grows
(Chorus)
Now this is power, A&M power
We're on top, every hour, we tower
In the SEC, we devour
With grit and might, we never cower
A&M power, A&M power
(Bridge)
From the trenches to the end zone, we fight as one
With unity and passion, our victories are won
In the heart of Aggieland, our story's just begun
We'll keep rising higher until the battle's won
(Chorus)
Now this is power, A&M power
We're on top, every hour, we tower
In the SEC, we devour
With grit and might, we never cower
A&M power, A&M power
Sounds good...lets roll with it.Al Bula said:I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.Leonard H. Stringfield said:

My instructor was Mr. West, and he taught me to sing a song.
If you'd like to hear it, I could sing it for you.
It's called "Aggie Power"Quote:

Are lyrics not part of a song regardless if they are sung or not? The data via google says yes. What if the lyrics to a song encouraged cop killing or a resumption of slavery? Still good? Some just don't care for racial slurs and profanity. It's good the adults made the correct call. It's over. Move on. After few celebratory brews, I did.Definitely Not A Cop said:Leonard H. No need, i know them by heart. I will post the lyrics used in the walk out song:
That's was it.
Without those garbage lyrics, the song never would have done anything. Just be glad its gone... I certainly am along with many others. Even without the lyrics, it was a looser. There ain't no amount of stretching to justify the song being a good representation of A&M that will sway me one iota.Definitely Not A Cop said:
No. The instrumental version of a song does not have lyrics in it. Just like Kidz Bop versions of songs aren't the same thing either. Listening to a movie soundtrack isn't the same thing as watching a movie.
There is no point in engaging. He has no taste or appreciation for good music. Just take a look at the garbage he links here. I cant tell if he is troll or just a person that doesnt have good tasteDefinitely Not A Cop said:
Your argument is that without lyrics that sucked, the song wouldn't be popular? Very illogical.
How would an instrumental song encourage cop killing?
