I just use my tv remote
Don't, you'd have to pay for crap.Logos Stick said:
So why would I sign up for ESPN+

There will surely be some kind of lawsuit to block something like that. Does trust law apply to partnerships that corner a market?

I love YouTube TV on Roku. It's the best interface, IMO. You could try DirecTV Stream. It has an easy-to-use interface that is basically the same as satellite and is just a little higher than YouTubeTV.The Agly Duckling said:Curious about what y'all think: I do not like the control functions on YouTube TV. Too hard to pause, rewind, slo mo, fast forward, etc., with my Apple TV remote.Bluecat_Aggie94 said:I think we passed that a while ago. But this is the one I've been waiting for. We have YouTube TV for live sports, but I don't think we watch anything else on it, so that will probably go in favor of this when it rolls out. Depending on the price, could be a cost savings for me.angus55 said:
Cord cutting is eventually going to be more expensive than cable to watch everything you want.
Anybody found a way to make this more like DirecTV's setup? I tried a universal remote but could not make it work at all.

This is a move to slice out the YouTubeTVs etc. who are really providing nothing to the sports fan.
YTTV is merely an aggregator of content.Quote:
Not sure I understand what you mean here by YTTV providing nothing to the sports fan. If that were the case. I wouldnt ha e a subscription.

When you can get that same content bundled, for cheaper, directly from the networks, you'll do it.
All YTTV is providing is aggregation, and maybe an interface that you like. But this is the first step in the networks stripping the middleman out so they don't have to pay them a cut.

B1G's BTN is operated by Fox…20ag07 said:
They are in court next week (8/7). Fubo is suing them.
It's a great price (comparatively) for an A&M football fan who doesn't really care about the B1G, but watches SEC,B12, and ACC.
I'm just not sure they're gonna get it done by 8/24.
Which can be watched over the air for free with a $10 HD antenna.20ag07 said:
And they'll have 2 of their big 3 marquee games EACH week on CBS/NBC, which are outside of this package.

If there was a streaming service that had all of my Aggie Football and Rockets basketball games, I'd drop cable in an instant. I literally just keep it so I can watch those games.

Won't stay anywhere close to that price for long, but it's a much lower starting point than I expected. Thought it would be $50+. At $42.99 I'll definitely be doing Venu for football season this year (have done YTTV or Hulu in previous years). Will re-evaluate in future years depending on where they move the price to.
I have a tablotv dvr for the locals. The one i have is a Dual Lite which they consider a legacy device (the company was sold). The new Gen 4 devices have a lot of issues with many of the steamers, but a lot of folks with the $20 ONN 4K say it works will with that device.dabo man said:
Between this service and my TV antenna, I would get every TV channel that I want. The problem is, that leaves me with no DVR and having to switch from an app to OTA in order to flip between games on CBS/NBC and one of the ESPNs.
I live in a large metropolitan area and all the broadcast antennas are at the other end. I can't get anything over the air even though I'm in a densely populated suburban area.njohn87 said:Drop $10 on a pair of rabbit ears and you should be good to go unless you just can't live without that handful of Army and Mountain West games on CBSSN.greg.w.h said:

Its called "collusion" and "monopoly". By joining forces...these companies think they can eliminate the competition. When Fox-ESPN are working as one...who can the SEC and B10 play off against each other for programming rights?BMX Bandit said:ESPN, Fox Sports, and Warner Bros. Take off another $50 from the "savings" from cord cutting
Spend about 16 and get Paramount plus and Peacock.Jeeper79 said:I live in a large metropolitan area and all the broadcast antennas are at the other end.
