I only drink in odd numbered years. So I'm off this year.

Alcohol can push me around so it's best for me to push back by taking off every other year.

Did Dry January and it wasn't difficult at all. My wife and I have really cut back in the last few years.

1-2 a week, maybe, anymore. Not worth sleeping like **** and potentially feeling like **** the next day.

When did this even become a thing???

Last thing I need is some make believe 'event' to get between me and my whiskey.

I don't do dry January and don't plan to do it in February, March, April.... etc.

Been dry a year. Quit in support of a buddy who needed to, and damn I feel better and sleep better. Guess I was allergic to beer after all. I don't miss it. Never in a million years would I have thought I'd say that.

Give it a try. The awkward part is having to explain you weren't an alcoholic or vying for a baptist deacon spot.
