A 6-foot-2, 255-pounder, Alston made a name for himself as an edge presence on the defensive front with a knack for making plays behind the line of scrimmage.
Since going into the portal, he managed to pull in offers from programs like Georgia, Miami, Arkansas, Mississippi State and several others.
Alston’s pledge moves the total number of A&M portal additions to 18 this offseason.
As a member of the Thundering Herd, Alston played in 42 games. He logged 108 total tackles, of which 9.5 were sacks, and 19.5 were tackles-for-loss. He redshirted in the 2020 season as his extra year awarded by the NCAA due to COVID-19. Therefore, he's still got that in his back pocket should he need it.
In all likelihood, the Chesapeake, Virginia, native will be a one-and-done player for the Aggies.
