He was easily my number 1 choice, not sure why we did not go after him:

Recruiting, portal, and coaching….great at all three things Urban Meyer said we needed in our next coach.

I'm excited for elko, but 2 of those 3 above are question marks!

Honestly I don't like either of those options, and there's a zone somewhere in the middle that I'm comfortable with for any team I support. Judging by the comments staff made on the banned posts, I agree with the banned posters about why Kiffin falls outside of my "win/not be a amoral dbag" ratio sweet spot, without resorting to the same obscenity.

I know this is an internet forum and I'm supposed to be obnoxious, but sometimes I think having class is more important than winning.

As much as Kiffin trolls A&M on social media, giving him an offer would absolutely have resulted in him getting a raise from Ole Miss and then publicly turning down A&M on social media and insulting A&M in the process. He's unprofessional and a dewsh. Good coach though. I think we got the staff to beat those guys going forward.

Thank you. I would also add more context… Lane hasn't won a SEC division, nor even beaten a SEC division champ. Jimbo beat three divisional champions, Florida (20), Bama (21), and LSU (22), while managing injuries at key positions. Lane may be a better OC than Jimbo, but he is not a better football HC than Jimbo.

I've told y'all before, I am bias towards Lane because we had a hometown kid that coached with Lane at Tenn and USC, and it did not go well. I would never recommend a kid to go play for Lane.

I know what you mean. I wasn't nominating either of them for man of the year, lol.

From a coaches viewpoint, Sark is one of the best play designers around. He does a great job at using formations and motions to get guys an advantage in space. Lane is really good, too. Imo, just a tick behind Sark.

The problem with Kiffin is that he's basically a younger Jimbo or Sumlin. He'll beat up on a lot of crappy teams, but he's not going to have the consistency necessary against teams with 9-10 wins a year to compete for a conference title. He's an above average coach and a good offensive coordinator, but I think he lacks the program level discipline to go up against guys like Smart and Saban.

Others have already stated that he doesn't get A&M….that is a fact…
Not only that he has taken media jabs both at A&M and Jimbo the past few seasons….seems like every time he's had the opportunity…..

So even though he may be a good coach, it's his own fault he's ostracized himself from Aggie Nation….and most people just despise him and his big mouth, snarky remarks toward us….

Reading Texags for several hours today. Why would we waste the time talking about Kiffin? He is not our coach and I doubt he ever will be. I for one is happy about that. Even today we saw him on the field talking / mouthing off to opposing players. Is this the example we want. Win at all cost? I say no. Also, having all the new transfers next year, how will he manage all the egos that comes with that. I predict the locker room will be divided at Old Miss next year, proving you cannot "buy" a championship. Let's take this energy and get behind our current coach and the true Aggies we saw the other night. Gig'em.
