This thread's about Dan Campbell...
That's pretty much exactly what he said. Word for word. And it's fine. He shouldn't have to answer for that 25 years later. Eddie Murphy is universally beloved today and he did a whole routine in Delirious that made what Dan Campbell said sound like it was straight out of the stale lily-white 50s.AWP 97 said:Matt Montgomery said:

Can we get clarification on the quote because I always thought it was something different? Of course, that was 25 years ago and my memory isn't what it used to be.

You shouldn't post that quote. In today's world, he would probably be crucified for saying that.

Though the specific passage you are referring (the adulterous woman in John to is one with footnotes in most conservative versions noting the provenance is inconsistent across early still extant manuscripts.Indianrider said:

YEA, it was 25 years ago! Ill never understand why fools have to drag up the past when it is done and over with. Some people just have to dig it up and fester over it!! LEAVE IT THERE AND MOVE ON!!!!!!!!AWP 97 said:Matt Montgomery said:

The mods aren't taking the hint. Or they don't care. What I do know is this thread quit being about the brilliant Dan Campbell long ago and it is betrayal of trust.
THIS is supposed to be a safe place but this THREAD is Forum 16 trash. This thread hates my child - tells him that we don't need his kind roiting for our precious football team, a letter to him that he'd never belong at A&M. Finally, his father understands that participating in TexAgs is part of the same hypocrisy that made it so hard for him to come out to his own Dad so many years ago.
He already knew. He never even considered sullying the heterosexual purity of Texas A&M. This thread is why my wife of 31 years has never stepped foot in Kyle Field. None of my three children would ever consider being part of so hateful a culture.
Out of one side of your face yesterday, so many of you rightfully praised a child born into a similar world of hate 2000 years ago. Out of the other, you communally laugh in my son's face. He can't seed a child so his value to humanity is your little joke.
Fear not. I know this post ends my 18 year run on TexAgs. I know I've been part of the same hypocrisy.I won't see your Well Bye meme and your self defensive indignation. I made the same jokes back long before Dan Campbell used immature 22 year old indiscretion. I despise what I was...and what most of you have been in this thread.
I know also that this post will be removed before this thread is - because most of the mods think it's all a big joke too. I think you're all cowards. I wouldn't trade my gay son for the best of you. Ever.
Brandon, WatchOle, are you still around? I count you a friend. And you always treated me much more fairly than I've treated TexAgs. This isn't your heart even if you share these folks' politics. This thread is gay-bashing trash. Do what you will, my brother. In a different world, my last post will make a difference.

So who were you taking to Aggie football games when you got free tickets from other posters by claiming to be a minister?Quote:
