usually it is 2-3 years before you see all the fruition. If no one would transfer, we might be good. It seems now that they have been developed it's bye bye
If you don't have coaches that can develop them and scheme for their talents properly, and if the players spend most of their time smoking pot and making rap videos, it probably won't ever matter what their high school ranking was.

The players 3 years ago went 9-1 and came 1 spot from the playoffs. FYI

If the others stay and contribute that is about average for any recruiting class at any school historically. 1/2 of the players you sign will mot do anything of note. That is tried and true, year after year. Between injuries, transfers, drugs, jail, poetry, getting passed up by the next class, or simply just not being good enough. That is reality. The transfer portal just accelerates it.

Reading the article on Elko and Duke when Elko first arrived knowing hearts and minds had to change in order for Duke to compete. Two things or three, hearts and mind don't want change as perhaps they've had it easy...show up and play or money.

.Sometimes players who excelled at the high school level are hard to coach. I feel like Jimbo went after stars and not players that fit the teams culture.
