Klein is a football dude. Solid offensive mind. Plays the game straight forward. Build around the run including a running QB. Only uses tempo selectively. Not haphazard for the sake of doing it.

Strong up front.

First exciting hire IMHO from Elko. Gig'em!

Just the fact we can say he turned down BOTH Notre Dame and Penn State is pretty studly.

Let's see what he does first. As with Texags tradition, we'll be calling for his head the first 3rd down he doesn't convert.

That tells you alot not just on quality. But style. With the top 3-5 talent we recruit every year, we dont need a chuck and duck; hyper hurry up; gimmicky offense. KSU is a very exciting offense to watch and relies on strong fundamentals.

Cant wait.

We will find out very quickly what he's capable of. 2024 will be the first time in a while where our opening game isn't a cupcake.

We basically just need an organized offense. The style doesn't matter very much. We'll see vast improvement if we just have everyone on the same page and efficiently organized.

I think the naysayers are way overblowing the entire running the QB complaint. Klein in his offense certainly spreads the ball around. QB runs are part of the game in college football. Their percentage of QB runs last year wasn't any higher than ours. QB's taking some hits as runners are a lot different than standing still being hit by free rushers in the pocket.

I've actually become exhausted these last few years watching what appears to be zone read plays where clearly we've told our QB to hand the ball off when there's nothing but green grass in front of them if they had kept it.

I've watched probably 6-8 Kstate games over the last two years and one of my most exciting parts about this hire is his adjustments. He consistently made adjustments in games and in second halfs that were successful which to me shows he understands offense, what defenses are trying to do to his offense, and how to adjust to beat that.

People are also missing that Elko could ask him to run with the QB less. Its really strange to me that we forget you can change your offense as you see fit.

You know who would kill it in this offense that's currently in the portal? KJ Jefferson from arky.. go get him. But yea yea he probably wouldn't want to come here since he would have to battle weigman.

Almost adjusted his way to beating a certain team in Austin! He put them in position to win that game

Hopefully, and if they're smart, they'll build the offense around the starting QB's strengths and skillset.

Who cares what happened against that team in Austin.

My point is he led his team back against them. They couldnt run the ball; at all! Moved to passing attack and shredded them in Q3/4. Should have won. Beech all you want, but the Shorthorns are a top 5 team this year. If you are one of those Aggies in denial, top 10. He coached his butt off a should have won. I tip my hat!

True but they are going to be one of the constants on our schedule moving forward I would like to make sure our coaches have a good grasp on how to attack/defend our protected rivals. LSU will be just as important. The other SEC teams will rotate through but I forsee LSU and tu being a constant no matter what the schedule format says. Similar to Georgia never coming to Kyle.

Hope the new strength and conditioning coach places an emphasis on watching and forcing the offensive linemen to lift heavy all the time.

Throw in some box jumps and combo jumps and that's about it.

Always like a guy who has done well against the top 10 with lesser talent. Sometimes less stars is what you need. There is only one ball.

Man, feels like yesterday that he was the guy the media was desperate to give the Heisman to. Anybody but that Freshman from A&M! Pissed me off so much.

Lucky for us K-State finally lost a football game and Manti (and his fake dead girlfriend) couldn't overcome the video game plays and stats that Johnny Football had that year!
