There is some truth to this. There was a point from 2000 to 2009 where Texas, OU, Texh, Okie State, and Rape U(Baylor) were all very good.

It all started shifting to the SEC after Texas '05 but Big XII was still good and didn't really tank until A&M left.

honest horn here....seems like A&M was a good but not great team in the Big 12 and you are the same in the SEC. I can't honestly figure it out. You are in the greatest state in the union for recruiting, you have excellent fan support and great traditions. I think A&M should be a regularly great team...but it just doesn't seem to happen.

For the record, Texas has a top 10 strength of schedule this year....anywhere from #5-#9 depending on who you ask between Sagarin, Espn etc. So saying we are doing well just because our conference sucks doesn't seem very substantial. We did go into Tuscaloosa and do what no other team has done in 5 years and only one other team has done in 10 years.
