Ain't happening. Regardless if Texas wins and Georgia, Michigan and FSU lose, the top four will be:

Contrary to popular belief on the Zoo, the college football world hates Texas as much as every Aggie does.

Sips have the head to head win vs Bama. Sips are ranked ahead of Bama. Sips would get picked.

Head to head has to matter. UT should absolutely be in over Alabama if it comes to that.
Tennessee is out of this thing altogether, get over them already.

True!! Its the media that loves the SOB's

"The Media" as you see it doesn't really exist.

The media is a collection of hundreds of writers and broadcasters all over the country, mostly regionally based, that have the same biases most of us do. The notion that there's some evil cabal of influential national media influencers that have sold their souls to Texas is ridiculous. If that were the case, Texas would be in the top four right now.

And if at least one of Michigan, FSU or Georgia wins, Texas is 100% out, regardless if they beat OK St. Y'all can rest easy. Texas will finish somewhere 13-1 or 11-3, won't make the final four, and still feel pretty good about the season.

And if a miracle occurs and they sneak into the playoffs, it's all gravy from there.

A miracle doesn't really have to occur for this to happen. If FSU loses, and sips win, then sips are 100% in. FSU is down to their 3rd string freshman QB who has never started a game, there's a decent chance they lose against Louisville.

Not if Bama wins. Its pretty clear listening to the knucklehead spokesperson and the media that they are setting Bama up to get in.

Cant not have an SEC champ in. Id bet even if FSU wins, they'll jump Bama in at 4 over FSU with wounded QB.

Depends.

Bama loss was early and resulted in their QB getting benched and then becoming a far better QB. Plus, thwy would ha e beaten the #1 team in UGA.

At that point, quality of wins and SOS likely supercede head to head. sips would have beaten a lowly OSU and a loss to OU which didn't win their conference championship like the team that Bama loss to (sip).

Bama 1 loss to higjly ranked conf champ with a win over #1 UGA.
Sip loss to OU with a win over highly ranked Bama.

Better win and better loss goes to Bama, and better SOS.

No dominant team this year so if they make it they can certainly win it. Would be backing in because once again the winner of the big XII isn't guaranteed a spot (and our stupid administration voted them into SEC).

I would be surprised if FSU wins, so If they win today they likely get in. Luck seems to be on their side, potentially backing in, getting OSU instead of OU, etc.

No chance Bama gets picked ahead of sips. They should in this scenario given the teams they have beaten. But will not happen.

A rematch with OU and a chance to avenge the only loss seems like it would have been an opportunity to make the resume stronger if anything.

If FSU and UGA both lose, then sips and Bama will take the 3rd and 4th spot. Theres room for both of them. Now if FSU and Bama win, thats a different story.

I think the Dawgs should be in no matter the outcome of the SEC title game. I don't see how you omit the two time defending champs with a 12-1 record. I put the Tide in as well, but I'm an SEC guy.

Defending champs or not, what happened in a previous season should have no impact on the current year's playoff standing.

But to play along with this thread.

Theres a new show on Netflix called Obliterated. There's a torture device in a scene that was almost used. Maybe that one.

Dude I watched that show the other night and still having nightmares.

Plot is ridiculously awful but I found myself strangely enjoying the show.

I'd rather they just lose their bowl game.

As for who the media likes more or less, maybe all "media" is not the same but ESPN/ABC has a full channel invested in them, so we know where they stand. They wield a lot of influence.

If they were us years ago, you think they would have gotten left out? I don't.

We are one third of the way to the chaos scenario, assuming Bama closes out. Florida State, I predict will lose. So that's the entire situation, and they both get in.

The INTERESTING thing happens if Iowa does the impossible and beats Michigan. You're obviously not going to slip in Iowa with two losses, so whom do you put in the fourth spot?

If this game goes Bama by 17, UGA is out. Recency bias plus UGA's weak schedule/lack of marquee wins leads to Bama, UW, Mich, Tex, assuming Louisville does what they should to a wounded FSU.

You would think, but I still remember Notre Dame getting blasted in the ACC Championship in 2020 by 24 points and still getting into the playoffs over A&M.

This is just an awful take. There is absolutely no way Bama gets in over Texas unless Texas loses tomorrow. Texas beat them at their house by double digits.

If FSU loses tomorrow, they're out. Michigan is not losing tomorrow.
Neither is FSU
