Agree, but we're also relying on a high level of execution on third and 4th down. Likely not sustainable. Would like to see a little more aggression on 1st and 2nd down in the 2nd half.


What are you talking about? The reason we've been converting is cause 3rd and 4th down have been manageable. Its not required high levels of execution. It's not been 3rd and 10 or 4th and 10. It's been 3rd and 4 and 4th and 1.

The playcalling has been day and night compared to the dumbass we fired as hc

I did not state this to point out the drop.

I stated it to show we are doing well as far as making decisive decisions and nice play calls to help out our team.

Jimbo's hesitance hurt us at times in these areas.

Petrino's play calling has been ok but this LSU defense makes most offenses look better than they are

The A&M v. LSU halftime report basically said, in so many words, "A&M is winning because LSUs defense is bad." Then 30s of silence and cut to commercial.

We need 7 on our first drive in 3rd quarter. I think the LSU QB will score 2 touchdowns on long passes so we need to score over 40 points this game. A big bowl win and great coach will be a great start for 2024. Maybe our HC is the HC in Today's game? Keep our top talent and recruit well in 2024.
I hope our run game takes off next half - more 2nd down and 2.
