One named expected to emerge in next 24 hours is Mark Stoops. The next 24 hours will be critical for his candidacy. Other names on A&M's radar include Mike Elko, Kyle Whittingham, Jedd Fisch and Jeff Traylor. One source cautioned me things are fractured at A&M. A lot of people put up a lot of money to pay out Jimbo Fisher so don't expect this to be a linear search to the finish.

People instantly saying no to Willie Fritz due to his age and then Kyle Wittingham who is even older getting mentioned is hilarious.

Mark Stoops was a major candidate for the LSU job a year ago.

He's also had two 10-win seasons in the last six years at KENTUCKY of all places. That's more 10-win seasons than A&M has had in the last 25 years. Stealing a coach from another school in your conference is a major win in my view.

Of course we could….but Stoops would be such a bad hire…horrible

Not Willingham, Wittingham at Utah. He just said that it was expected that stoops would be added to the list, not that he is a front runner or anything.

None of those coaches are better than Jimbo Fisher. What a disaster. This was all about anger and now ending up with a worse coach.
