My vote is ER, Bobby & Durkin, new OL and DB coaches, with a two year incentive based contract. We are a good team that's been poorly coached. ER, Petrino, and Durkin are the way to go. It also gives us the best chance of keeping the team and our recruiting class together.
Stoops is a Jimbo protoge and plagued throughout his career at same type of stubbornness in refusing to adapt and losing winnable games because of it. Would be PR nightmare and colossal example of A&M leadership being the true problem.

Zero chance for Stoops. He costs way too much for an unproven product. I doubt he ever leaves UK considering he won't be fired and is a top 10 paid head coach

From what I've heard internally, only 7 million of the buyout is being funded by donors. The rest is on the athletic department. The BMA's with the money are wanting their money to be used for the next coach which would definitely explain the fracturing as BMA's are gonna each want "their" guy.. . . said:
