Who do you think will get the throne?

I personally think Jimbo gets another year. Main reason he lost QB1. Equally in reason....the $70M+ buyout.

The fallout of paying it could be a revolt of the school's administration and educators.

Jimbo keeps the throne....for now!

No one is going to care about the payout (it is paid out annually after an initial payment of around $20 mill). The next guy will probably be cheaper though.

Jimbo will be here next year bc of QB hurt and buyout. When he losses 4 games next fall, including a loss to a bad 2 win team, he gets canned and we steal Liepold from KU.

Jimbo will likely get another year. If he can somehow keep the talent on the roster from transferring out and sign a decent recruiting class, then next year may produce more wins because the 2022 class will be juniors with some getting ready to jump to NFL after next year

Barring losing the last 3 games, Jimbo will be back next year.
Only 4 true road games in 2024, the biggest test being Florida. We get LSU and t.u. at home. No Bama. We win the SEC West. Book it.

Dan Lanning. He makes 4.85 mil a year at Oregon. We could sign him to a 8 mil, 6 year contract with 5 of it guaranteed. Dude has experience in the SEC, and is an up and comer with a great resume at Oregon. Not sure why he wouldn't be a top candidate.

Partially correct. I believe he was fired for underperforming from 99-02 and losing bowl games every year. Also for getting surpassed by tech.

Jimbo will be the head coach at Texas A&M next season
If he wins 8 games next year he will be retained

If he goes 7-5 or worse next season I think he gets fired

IMO above is the only realistic possibility

This is rich, just why in the hell would he leave Oregon for A&M? There's really no area where A&M would come out as a better fit.

Also, RC completely tanked on the recruiting trail. We'll see if Jimbo keeps us in the top 10 or not, but that could be a big difference.

LMAO! If Jimblo fires his current OLine coach and gets one that can develop players to pass/ run block, we MIGHT have a chance. If Jimblo actually let's Petrino design and run offense plays versus Jimblo's offense schemes, we might have a chance...
