It's the QB dummy

No, it's the meathead HC, dummy.

Fisher is too stubborn and dumb to adapt to an offense that puts his QB and WRs in a position to make plays against any slightly above average defense.
Smith had ONE catch vs Tenn and maybe 2-targets.

This is easy. Coach, it's your staffs job to teach them how to execute so if it isn't working, it's on you and the staff you hired brother!

Ya'll keep mentioning offensive line not blocking. That's the story every year since he's been here except for the 1 year when we went 9-1. You'd think Jimbo and co would find a way to mask that deficiency. That's exactly why he's paid $10MM a year. Maybe try something like adjusting your scheme to the strengths of your personnel instead of letting other teams expose their weaknesses week in and week out. How did Layden Robinson go from being ALL SEC 1st team in 2021 to being so crappy? How did Bryce Foster go from being the future of the SEC at center to playing so bad? How many 4 and 5 star linemen that don't reach their potential have to come through here before something clicks in Jimbo's mind that it's not the players? I highly doubt the Utahs and TCUs of the college football world bring in the caliber of offensive line recruits that A&M does, and hey seem to do just fine with what they have. This is ALL on Jimbo and his damn stubbornness. The head coach is supposed to put his team in the best position to win with what he's got. I've yet to see this out of Jimbo.
You misunderstood.

People are not citing OL issues as an excuse for Jimbo. They are saying that since the OL is so important, Jimbo has no excuse for such a bad OL.

But blaming the QB, the RB, or the receivers is pointless, because it is not reasonable to expect them to "execute" with a terrible OL. An offense is only as good as its OL.

But here is the problem. In general, this offense is harder for an OL to be good at. This has been the case with 7 of Jimbo's last 9 teams. The OL is less than the talent suggests it should be. Under multiple OL coaches. 2018 and 2020 the exceptions.

We don't offer any help. We ask them to do more than other offenses. We don't do pre-snap motion, confuse defenses, etc. Defenses are able to tee off against us.

You put this same OL group in a more effective / consistent offensive system, and I belt they instantly look better. I don't think they would be great, but still look much better.

We do do pre snap motion all the freaking time.

Fix the OLine, and this offense is fine.
Hell, you fix the OLine and this whole damn TEAM is fine.

When you've got **** OLine play, any offense will struggle.
Conversely, when you've got stellar OLine play, you can run any offense.

Could you imagine what our D would look like if the O could stay on the field longer, let alone score more?

As for the Maroon Goons of 2020, don't forget that most everyone was calling for Henson's head the prior year. But it came around, and became one of our best.

Not sure that's gonna be happening w Addazio

1. We should not be having "execution" problems this late in the year. That's on ladazzio & jimbo.

2. If the line can't keep the defense off the QB long enough to find an open receiver, why are running 4 wide outs deep with no routes in the 5-10 yards range across the middle?

3. If the Oline is irreparable and we have to live with the maroon poons for the rest of the season, why do we not go to a 2 back set with crownover at FB to help pick up the blitzing LB/DB's? I saw crownover catch a pass for a touchdown earlier in the season, but little of him since.

The failures we are having should not be happening game after game. They may not be completely fixable this late in the season but you can do things to work around them and salvage the rest of the season.

Make use of your talent. Put them in a position to succeed.

I am all in favor of keeping jimbo. This is NOT a good time to be starting over with a new head coach. Make some changes in your staff or players. Try different sets. Load up and run the damn ball out of a 2 back set. Quit changing personnel all the time. He has the talent to win against bama and tenn but he gets bogged down in offensive sets that are not working

A $10M functional wetard. His OL sucks again and he uses no short passing game or misdirection to mitigate...Shocking

SI literally made an entire article about one quote of an entire press conference. I get it, he's been terrible, but c'mon guys. Have some common sense!

Common sense and the video commentary that went with the article says - the offense is an embarrassment. A $10M coach that doesn't make adjustments and has zero self awareness is totally unacceptable...The rest of his used car salesman press conference is a moot pt.

"we gotta coach 'em better."

Same thing after every loss.
How well can you coach them when you have people like Petrino, Durkin, and Addazio coaching? And a stubborn ass HC leading the way? Every one of these guys has been mired in some sort of controversy, Jimbo continues to hire these also-rans. Not only is Jimbo a stale, lame duck HC, he's also a bad judge of character.
This staff isn't designed to succeed, it's cobbled together, almost as an afterthought. I think our expectations are unattainable with this entire staff. What more do they need?

I think Durkin's proven he may not be so bad.
Miami's about his only WTF game this year.

No, just saying a player died under his watch and he goes and gets a lucrative job under Jimbo. Jimbo doesn't give an f about character. That's already caught up to him, it spells doom. It's where we are.

I support keeping Jimbo. He's a good person and a great fit for Aggies and our culture. With that said, I watch replays and consistently see OL miss blocks badly. Clearly the moment is too big for some of these kids. Addazio is not teaching these kids to keep their heads in a swivel at all times and to put a hat on anyone who is breaking through. It's quite astonishing to watch. So Jimb, doesn't need better talent, he needs to surround himself with better coaches to "coach em up better". Aggies deserve better. BTHO someone besides ourselves
