If we are honest, a bad Jimbo class is equivalent to the best class in history pre Jimbo.

Remind me again how many 1st round picks Jimbo's reign has produced?

A good class? It's a great class. We are #6 on 247. When historically have we recruited like this.. Now holding on to them if we go 7-5 is questionable.

Who cares?? Wish we could field a team full of Ryan Swopes

So no body knows anything...and as I said, "good" but slipping as others are still adding recruits. If there are no targets, fine but we may not end up with a top 10 class. So be it.

At this point does it matter what our class ranking is? If we can't coach them to their fullest potential it's just an imaginary number we can all thump our chests about.

one 1st round pick (Kenyon) in 5 years

one 2nd round pick (McCoy) in 5 years

and McCoy played 2 of his 3 seasons for Sumlin, so they split the credit

OP, I think if we finish 7-5, we will be right around top 13, if we go 8-4 which is what I am leaning towards as of today, I think we sign in the top 10, leaning more in the 7-9 range and 9-3 should land us in the top 5.

I do agree with Brauny's recent recruiting country segment and that is the next 2 weeks are extremely crucial. There is no way to guarantee you don't lose either week but you could also win either or both weeks. If you win this week and lose to old miss, you don't know how that will impact the current commits but you are almost assured of hanging onto them if you win both. So, the next 2 weeks are massive.

Also, I think the big concerns right now are CB, S/NB, pure twitchy special type of rush end and last but not least, of course RB. Here is how I see each

CB----pretty sure we will probably land 1 but hoping for 2 in Black and Jordan. If we land both, done at CB. If we land only 1, we might see an add on in the portal if it makes sense and the portal guy is good enough.
S/NB-----I think we could see a versatile type being added late but don't have to have it so they won't take one just to take one. Also, they will probably watch the portal as well just to see what is there.
WDE------I think we are pursuing Williams but I don't think as of today, we are favored there so I think we wait to see if a late target rises up or possibly portal guy
RB------as of today, nobody so looking like late riser or portal guy. Who knows maybe a coaching change like last year. I mean that's how we got Owens, without that happening we don't get him so, there is always that.

WR------don't have to have but aren't going to pass on a Hudson. Still pursuing but right now still committed to ttech but I tend to agree with Brauny, I would still say he goes west but there is something there and this will be interesting to watch. We are about to face easier defenses and I think it will impress. I feel, just gut here, nothing inside, that in the end he ends up here with Cam Coleman in this class and that is freaking awesome. The only thing that would make it better is if somehow, we get to that Lsu game at 8-3 and win or lose, I think that helps our chances with pulling Miller back in.

Gut says Cam C. doesn't stick, but who know (definitely a lot of pressure in Alabama and Aub really in his ear to be part of their turnaround). Time will tell.
