I hope our AD sends a glossy to stinky Sankey. How can this be missed?

I saw at least 4 plays in the second half with similar egregious holding by Bama O line. THAT is how they stopped us from another 4-5 sack second half - and gave Milroe the time needed to get those deep throws!

Known fact, you have to beat the refs to beat the gumps .

Hell, what about the play where the midfield umpire stepped into a wide open throw.

Especially when the refs called 10 more penalties on them than they did on us. Including a soft call that reversed a TD

I think the refs just wanted to let the boys play. I appreciated most of their non-calls. Just wish we would have held them too

How? It's rare for a game not to have some blatant holds that go uncalled. Every team that has ever lost can complain about uncalled holding and not be wrong.

I would be willing to bet they did! Although the way they busted through didn't hold them good enough. Lots of reasons we lost that game.

Don't mind the no calls on holding, just wish they would have kept their flag on the Noah hold on the TD in their pocket as they did all game.

This is the one game I can't complain about officiating.

For real - did they call any of our lineman for holding either?

And I'm still blown away by the number of times they got Bama for false starts. On one occasion it was on third down and they called em for it 2x in a row!

Watch the Finebaum analysts and they are bragging about the blocking but it is obvious holding with the hands around the cup of the shoulder pads. The hands are grasping the pads. Clear holding.. Amazing how the analyst is pointing out good blocking technique with a tag keep away move but guess what the bama player was grasping the jersey of the TAMU DL. Hypocrisy

They cannot ignore false starts as easily.

It's just so tiring listening to people beatch about why we continue to lose

To be fair, they did get called for a couple of pretty ticky tack fouls

But one thing Bama will NEVER get called for is holding. I know of at least 4 or 5 instances where I was yelling "call the damn hold!" watching our guys get mauled

And I was sitting about 10 rows from the top of the stadium and saw them clearly. How a "professional" standing fifteen feet away couldn't see it is ludicrous. But again, I know by now that Bama is never gonna get that call. They were holding Madubuike so badly so many times a few years ago it was laughable

we always think the other team holds all the time and never gets called for it.

Well, our O line did get knocked on their rear too fast to be able to effectively hold. It's hard to execute an effective hold when you are on your back.

The rule doesn't exist if they refs won't enforce it.

Serious question: If the only thing that changed in this game were 2-3 blatant Bama holds get called instead of 20+yd passes completed, who wins the game?

These were two closely matched teams making lots of mistakes on either side. The [lack of] officiating tipped the scales.

PS:

Moving Umpire blocked pass and ball hitting the ground with 0:01 would have helped, but success wasn't as certain as sacks/pressures stopping the long scores.

bingo. If they're not calling it on them, start using the same tactics. This goes for holding and pass interference.
Similar in Baseball and what the Ump is calling a Strike or not.

Sabans half time adjustment was to hold until they throw a flag.. and none came…

Watch it again. The WR got his hands on the ball, and his hands were in the wrong position to make the catch. Umpire or no, he would have dropped the pass.

Our OL needs to learn how to hold better. It is part of the game now. Step up Adazio. I think they should just legalize OL holding. It is only called now when they want to.
