Are you some coaching wizard? Could you do better?

Your blind hatred for Jimbo is keeping you from seeing we are really close to where we need to be.

Really close? We are to the point where we get excited about wins over very mediocre (at best) teams.

Jimbo has 5 wins at A&M -- less than one per year -- over 10+ win teams, and 3 of those came in his first year. We were closer to where we needed to be in his first three years than we are now.

Everything the guy you responded to wrote was spot on. You didn't respond to any of it. Just ad hominem.

Winning out is a real possibility too.
That's why we play the games.

Unless you're a coach or player that can affect the games, or part of administration and/or BMA that can cover the buyout, you should just pour a drink, support the team, and watch the show.

Because otherwise you're just *****ing….and *****ing isn't going to affect anything.

I am expecting a floor of 7-5 and a ceiling of 9-3. Assuming we win our remaining home games against South Carolina, Mississippi State, and FCS Abilene Christian, our season will come down to the 3 road games at Tennessee, Ole Miss, and LSU. Losing all 3 road games is a real possibility, and that would mean carrying a 10-game road losing streak into 2024. I hope we win at least one of the 3 road games for a 5-3 SEC finish, which would be just our 4th winning SEC record in 12 years in the conference and the 3rd under Jimbo Fisher.

And still completely and totally unacceptable

Jimbo isn't being paid his millions to continue the 8-4 mediocrity perpetually

It's not good enough in year 6 and pretending it is or else you're a "2%er who isn't supporting the boys" is what let's them get away with decades of mediocre FB

I agree that 8-4 mediocrity perpetually is unacceptable. I was just saying an 8-4 regular season finish would mean a winning 5-3 SEC record because of that nonconference loss to Miami. This would resemble 2018, when we finished 8-4 in the regular season with a 5-3 SEC record and an additional loss to Clemson. A 5-3 SEC record is not great, but it sounds better than the perpetual 4-4 SEC finish 6 times (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2021) and much better than a putrid 2-6 SEC finish last year.
