Unfortunately, there isn't much to give confidence about winning any of the road SEC games. @Tenn, @Ole Miss, @ LSU…

Going about .500 over the first 2 seasons after that historic 2022 recruiting class and all the money spent on facilities and coaching staff , we are set up to take the All-Time 'Do Less With More' football belt.

Jimbo would be back with 1 more year with those 2022 guys all juniors before they mostly depart for NFL, there would be hope again this summer fueled by 'wait until next year' optimism, but the frustration and feeling of wasting so much money and talent with so little in return…it's an all-timer disappointment.

Just hard to trust Jimbo anymore after yesterday. Yesterday was it. Yesterday Had to be the moment. It was a true 'Must Win' game for the Jimbo-led program's future IMO. Never say never, but count me as a fan who has now no confidence that even just a really good season (like 10-2 ish) is ever even going to happen under his watch.

Maybe if we're lucky Jimbum doesn't punk out of the bowl game though

Bowl?? Something about putting the cart before the horse and counting chickens before they're hatched.

What I blame the coaches for is the inability to recruit decent defensive backs and o-linemen.
Face it folks...only players can execute on the field.
And we have very bad players at DB and O-line.
Face facts...Jimbo recruited a bunch of 5- star d-lineman and some decent WR's...but the exposed lack of talent at DB and O-line will haunt the team until it gets fixed with better players.
Unfortunately..all our 5-star DL will be gone by the time any new talent arrives to fix the problems.
Jimbo Fisher's only hope is some miracle transfer portal highly ranked DB's and O-line just suddenly decide to leave their schools at the end of this season.

Kind of raised my eyebrows when a transfer from Boston College ended up beating out anyone we had for one of the starting CB positions.

Yup. We played a true freshman corner in year 6.

I'm ok with Shreveport. It's a realistic day trip for most of us.

If we count ACU and Miss. State as wins, we are at least 6-6. Unfortunately, it will take momentum on our part to carry us to another victory. I say "unfortunately" because we don't seem to be able to keep momentum.

I just hope that yesterday's second half play and loss doesn't send us into a downward spiral.

South Carolina OL is really really bad, arguably will be worse OL of our SEC opponents. South Carolina after Rattler and one other good player doesn't have much. We will probably sack Rattler 7-10 times.

Objectively I think 3 more wins is reasonable given who we have left and our sheer talent advantage. 6-6 is probably going a bit too far.

But let's be clear, 7-5 would be terrible given the recruiting and expectations. On the back of a 5-7, Simply an unacceptable outcome to give any hope of why Jimbo would ever really take off.

On top of that adding insult to injury…you may see Florida State fully rebounded from the Jimbo era and in the CFP and still maybe even the horns.

To me that is the nightmare scenario. Like 7-5 while FSU and tu both make the CFP. We stole FSU's Coach and 6 years later they are doing great while we stink.

Yeah, but we can outscore SC. They have a very bad defense.

Toss up perhaps, but being at home, I give us the W.

We have a bye week before USCe, just think of all the "adjustments" Jimbo can work on then!

I see us going 8-4. Mostly because the conference as a whole is down this year.

We aren't anywhere near where we need to be. In fact, we aren't any closer than when Jimbo took the job. We have more talent on this team than ever before and we can't break through. That's on the coaches. Also, Jimbo's best season was with sumlins recruits.

transfer that was a nickel at BC too. Not even a cornerback.

Beyond our struggling DBs and OL, our offensive philosophy appears to just be pathetic by and large. Not attacking downfield [except for on a 3rd & 6 on opponent's side of field]. And not just the extreme conservative nature of punting on the opposing side of the field on 4th and short, netting us 20-30 yards in field position. And not QB sneaking under-center on 4th & 1 inside the other team's 20. Settling for FGs constantly. Jimbo has an elderly brain.

No idea how much Petrino is in charge, as Freeze and Pittman said our offense looked like every Jimbo offense. Petrino also seems extremely feeble on the Pulse episodes and is definitely lacking newer concepts.

Agree w/ your assessment except LSU: their passing attack will school our secondary. Plus, Jumbo's away record w/ Ags in SEC play is horrid. LSU is a loss. 7-5 is the best we'll do (unacceptable but we're stuck w/ Jumbo until we lose to t.u. 2 in a row...?).

how much of that class is playing Cornerback and OL ? not much

and therein lies the problem

the talent was not equally distributed across all position groups
