Ross, Jimbo, and the players all sound like they like playing in Dallas. I as a student love the yearly trip up.

It sound like they're trying to figure out a way to keep playing a game up there every year. With the possibility that we don't play Arkansas every year moving forward, here's some ways to make that happen that they might be considering.

1. Play Mississippi State - It is obviously a stretch to convince them to say yes to this, but maybe a big enough payday and the opportunity to recruit Texas could sell them.

2. Play rotating Big12 Teams - switch a home non conference game with Louisiana Monroe with a game vs Baylor, Tech, Houston, or TCU. Make it the first game of the year as a kickoff game. We should win this every single time, and it'd boost strength of schedule. On the off chance we lose one year, that wasn't gonna be a championship caliber team that year regardless.

3. Play the Service Academies. Not sure that they'd go for it, but maybe they'd see it as a cool recruiting opportunity.

4. Keep playing Arkansas every year. Either get the SEC to make that our 3rd permanent, or play them as a non conference every other year.

My favorites are option 2 and 1, but I doubt Mississippi State would go for it.

The thing is, maybe playing in dallas is the only way to salvage this rivalry game since sip and them screwed up our league and get first dibs.

Forget recruiting. Players love it, students love it, peaches love getting a bowl like environment.

I don't see how anyone could be against dropping Abilene Christian at home for Baylor or Tech in FW. Better SOS, more fun, still an almost automatic win.

Respectfully, Dallas is probably the 5th coolest city in DFW. You know what I meant.

If the coach wants it then I'm gonna go with him rather than you. The attendance this year was markedly better and that's what the payout is based on.

I don't personally care if it continues, but pissing and moaning about every decision that helps with fundraising just suggests our fans don't understand the game we are playing.

I bet we do a one or two year special schedule and once the SEC has the regular schedule ironed out the game will up there will pick up

How long do you want to ignore this user?
We always want our schedule so it has 7 home games at Kyle for income. Everything else fits around that.

Mississippi State is not one of those little schools that will come for a paycheck, like Mercer for example.
None of the SEC schools fall into that category.

This is a myopic opinion. DeSoto is a huge talent pipeline for us, and this keeps us connected to the DFW region. Lose DFW, lose Texas. Lose Texas, lose to t.u.

We should be playing all of our home games at Kyle Field.

In other news that no one cares about....the New England Patriots stadium in Foxboro is actually closer to Providence, Rhode Island than Boston.

No one outside of Texas even knows that Ft Worth is its own city separate from Dallas.

1. Arlington
2. Burleson
3. Irving
4. Ft Worth
5. Dallas.

Respectfully......This would be my rankings of the "cool" cities in the metroplex.

1. Uhhh, what? Why Mississippi State? That makes NO sense. You yourself doubt they would go for it. I do too.... because it makes no sense.

2. Why would Houston and A&M go all the way to Arlington to play each other??? Again, makes no sense. TCU would make sense and "Gig em" would mean something again. Tech and Baylor can suck it but that's just my opinion.

3. Playing the service academies in such a big neutral site location doesn't make too much sense to me either. At least when we played Army in San Antonio, it gave the area (and its military community) a chance to see major college football up close. Attendance for that was just under 65k. Attendance for this year's game for Arky was just under 60k, so imagine. I think Jerry World would look pretty empty.

Did you know the New York Giants and New York Jets play in New Jersey?

At least Rhode Island is part of New England

The Los Angeles Rams and Chargers don't even play in Los Angeles.

They play in Inglewood......so suck it Dallas!

I know it's a huge stretch, but State is under 8 hours away, and Arkansas is almost 5.5.

Arkansas got Money/Jerry whipped into taking that deal, so maybe there's a world where State gets Money/recruiting whipped into it.

Once again, I know the odds of this are low.

Dallas is a huge Arkansas market. You might not realize it if you don't live in the area. Same goes for Oklahoma.

The only option would be to play Pig, and I'm sure they would like to renew. The noise about not renewing the contract has come from our side and Bjork has already said we are NOT renewing it. I live in Dallas but have only been to the game twice.

Having said all that............

If the players like it.
If Jimbo and the staff like it.
If it is a recruiting tool (not having recruits at the game but part of the recruiting pitch getting to play at Cowboys stadium a few times)
If we still always have 7 home games.

Then I am OK with the AD renewing the contract. However, they need to drop the ridiculous club seat "donation". There is no way a college football game should cost $225 or $300. That is why attendance is way down due to the ticket prices.

It is no longer shiny and new to play there and fans are voting with their wallets. If that game is not sold out every year that means the ticket prices are too high. The TMF needs to figure out a way to either have that as part of the STH package that you still need to request tickets for this away/neutral site game with a small TMF donation for the club seats, maybe +$50 on top of the higher ticket price.

Would always rather a game be at Kyle Field, and F'ville is a great place for a game and good gameday atmosphere, but if the players and recruits like it I am all for it, I just won't be spending my hard earned $$ on it in addition to my season tickets.

Ark wants out just as bad as we do. It's just tired. Home and home is the way to go. A&M is not going to give up a home game and neither is another SEC school.

Unpopular opinion alert: I love the game being there. It's been good to us and the players love it.

I'd MUCH rather play Arkansas in Dallas every year vs go to Fayetteville every other year. Fayetteville can be a tough place to play and the razorbacks pulled off more than a few upsets on us back in the old days when we had to go there. I'm all for keeping it in Dallas.

If pig is not an annual event and MSU is
Play pig in Dallas two years and MSU is Home and home

Then the two years pig is not on the schedule play MSU at Jerry world
Still make one trip to Starkville every four years and host MSU once every four years

Not advocating for it I like the game in Dallas especially given Kyle is brutal early in the season
Gilligan

Never play there again! Fayetteville is a great place to visit.

Starkville - Meh

It's better to play in Kyle.

This was a disturbing PR move by A&M to promote playing Arky in Jerry World. Jerry Jones down on the field after the game makes me want to barf. The only good part is that he has to go down there to congratulate the team that beat his team.

First time at AT&T this past weekend and I thought it was awesome! I hope they keep playing there as it is easy to make a weekend out of it. Aggie Football Saturday, Visited the Star in Frisco Saturday afternoon, then caught the Cowboy game on Sunday.
There's plenty of hotel and dining options nearby. I'm a fan!

3.
Rotate the three service academies the first week of the fair in the Dallas Cotton Bowl.

It works out that way to be home and away every other year.
