Aren't those three games about the only ones that didn't feature a "name team" vs some glorified high school? Seems like non-conference games are worse than ever.

Notre Dame at NC State
Purdue at Virginia Tech
Utah at Baylor
Iowa at Iowa State
Ole Miss at Tulane
Oregon at Texas Tech
Wisconsin at Washington State
Arizona at Mississippi State
Oklahoma State at Arizona State
Auburn at Cal
Stanford at USC

But other than those games, just a bunch of terrible match ups. 4 million viewers is a college football threshold. If a game hits that mark, it's considered "marquee" and commercial advertising rates go way up.

I'm always suspicious about TV companies manipulating or rigging games but that's a different topic

It's also no accident the 3 biggest games of the day were scheduled to kickoff in 3 different time slots. Those numbers would have looked a lot different if A&M-Miami and Texas-Bama were playing at the same time.
